List Mgmt. Grundy: Did we make the wrong choice?

Josh Fraser looked a world beater too. Too early to call superstar. Jolly, Hudson and Lynch are nearly done. If Grundy is exposed to full time ruck work too early, it may cut him down physically. Just as it did Fraser. Not saying it will, but with the Pies rick stocks, who knows. Relying on a...

MRP / Trib. AFL Round 17 charges - Bartel offered one-week ban, Podsiadly offered reprimand

So basically, standing your ground is out, as is trying to dispossess an opponent. However breaking someone's jaw is fine, so too is punching someone in the throat. Out of interest, can anyone remember who was the last Geelong player cited and then got off?

Game Day AFL Round 9 match discussion - Port Adelaide v Geelong

Don't mind Rex, but it can get a bit hard to follow the game. If you're not a regular listener, you've got no idea what's going on.

Game Day AFL Round 9 match discussion - Port Adelaide v Geelong

Best commentary ever was Teddy & Brushy. I remember a game in the west, Ted told an old bag to sit down and shut up. Live on air.

    Opinion Mumford v Duncan

On long term future potential, I say Duncan. Mumford looks like the ends is already in sight. Maybe the physical style he employs is taking a toll far earlier than expected. If he was still at Geelong, we would still be short a ruckman. Both are premiership players, as well. However if the...

Injury Daniel Menzel - 4th ruptured ACL

Is Dan a natural right footer? I ask because his right knee went originally, now it seems fine. His left has gone 3 times now. Maybe his right knee/leg is stronger than the left. I remember Gaz snr having trouble with his knees, but could play on because his leg muscles were so strong.

List Mgmt. Geelong's interest in Travis Boak

Would Myles Sewell be an option? We've had some success with VFL recruits already.

Preview AFL Round 22 - Geelong v Western Bulldogs, Simonds Stadium, 1:10PM Sunday 26 August

Wasn't there a rule that players could play VFL finals if the seniors were in action that weekend? Or did I just dream it?

Best/favourite 10 matches you have seen (involving your club)

    1. 2009 GF. Hard and tough. Made it the perfect tonic for 2008. No handbags. 2. 2007 PF. Same as above, only against the Pies. Sweet. ;) 3. 1994 PF. Last kick against the Roos. Everyone (Bruce) going off for Carey and North. Great man gazzumps Martyn and who cares about what happens next...

Geelong: Should we really respect them?

If memory serves. Melbourne lobbied the VFL to create a rule allowing a club to recruit the sons of past players. This was to ensure that they got Ron Barassi, who at the time, was zoned to Carlton. So really, the Father/Son rule wouldn't exist without Melbourne. :thumbsu:

    Do you Hate Us? Why?

I used to hate Hawthorn in the early 90's, but not anymore. I respect the way they have rebuilt their club and list. Some of the players are knobs, but you get that with every club. However I have to admit to a deep sense of disappointment at the way our season finished. Without wanting to...

    Malthouse- Coach of the Year?

He's done well so far this year. But so have Clarkson, Laidley, Thompson & Sheedy. All have exceeded expectations to a certain degree. However, you'll have wait until Spetember to see who is th ecoach of the year.

I was at a party and missed the game - please explain to me how the Dees got slaughtered?

Saw the Cats get 15 before Melb got 1 in '98. The 1 was near 1/2 time IIRC. :thumbsu: That was pretty bad considering we weren't that good in '98 either.

    Coventry Coleman Medal

31 games actually. I'm sure he won't mind, passing away in 1968 and all. Coleman isn't revered for the number of games or goals but for the way he played the game.
