I hope if we are going to be doing any dealing in the up coming Trade Period that they are well and truly organised or close to it,and ger it done quickly.
Think there is going to be some serious stand offs, that could go into the last couple of days of Trade.
Adelaide are having a major spit with Lever's value. They've told Cameron he aint going anywhere.
ESS and WB will be having a stoush over Stringer.
Gold Coast and Geelong may have a battle over Ablett.
Gibbs will probably ask for a trade and that will take forever to get sorted.
So a lot of panic could eventuate with other teams as they wait for all the above to get sorted out

Good, the more drama the better.
In the meantime we'll just sit back until they need a master to weave some magic...and hey presto there's Ameet

Another 1995 lad as well. Certainly aimed to bring them in as much as we can! (Sinclair, Steele, Freeman, Marshall).
All good until we have a whole team of them (except for those named Jack, who unlike Billings and Steele weren't born in 1995) and they all retire at the same time!

We'd have 7 of them getting chaired off at one time, then when they get put down they go back to where they started and chair off 7 of those that just chaired them off.... :D

Stringer is an absolute piece of shit from what I was told earlier this week. Couldn't think of a better club for him to go to than the injectors
Without giving too much away...

If actions and morality could be compared to men's faces, and good behaviour was Brad Pitt, would Stringer's behaviour look something like this?

I think Steele is actually a half decent forward.

Out of our fulltime midfielders I think he has the best instincts after Stuv and perhaps Dunstan. He'll never be good enough to play full time but out of stoppages or he can run forward and take a mark and set shots. He already showed a bit ahead of the ball this year with goals.

I think we have a good balance with him and Dunstan. Dunstan can't be the coal face ball winner we expected as his shoulders are too fragile but what he can do well is use his bulk to get out off stoppages. In the Richmond rd 23 game I really liked some signs. It went Longer tap to Steele to Dunstan who burst through and then gave it to Newnes/Stuv/Robbo to kick.

The only reason I brought up Kennedy was when comparing him and Steele to Hopper I'd have Hopper as clearly the best with Steele and Kennedy fairly similar.
Steele already plays his position extremely well but it's fairly limited, for him to take the next step he'd have to add some point of difference, use his height to be a target outside of 50 or actually try to break tackles and get 5 metres before handballing off/getting more contested footy like the WC game.

Without sounding harsh cause I really do love Steele and I know he didn't have any preseason this year I'm curious truly what ceiling he does have. I have him pegged to be a Callan Ward level player but can he go higher and reach Selwood/JPK levels.
Quite happy with Ward levels

Reckon 8 would be a reach still and what could we offer them realistically?

Pick 5 for 12 and 19.

Brisbane pick up Brayshaw with 5.

Freo pick up Hayes with 12 and then with 19 pick up Balta perhaps if he's there.

My wanting to keep 7 and 8 depends on Cerra being there.

If Cerra is gone then might as well trade up if possible or traded for existing talent.
If we knew that they were likely to trade the pick to a team who were likely to take someone we really wanted, I'm sure we could offer them something that would appeal to them. Perhaps 8 and next year's 2nd for 5 and their 2018 3rd, or whatever.

Of course they might get more appealing offers from other clubs tho.

I doubt very much that Richmond would want to trade their two firsts for pick 5, as it sounds like they too want to go tall, so it would likewise be a big reach for them to go that way at pick 5.

Brisbane could defs be keen for 12 and 18 tho, as you say, to get Brayshaw at 5. That could still help Cerra get to 7 tho. 50/50 chance probably.

Setterfield & Taranto please ;)

I dare say they're on the 'Keep' list though
I would go all out for Fiorini , 20yr mid who played 13 games this year averaged over 20 disposals
