UPDATE: JAKE Carlisle has told St Kilda he is determined to play there from 2016 and beyond.
In a statement, the Saints revealed Carlisle told them directly on Thursday he wishes to play there.

His manager Anthony McConville has also restated he will continue to seek a deal that gets Carlisle to St Kilda.

“Given Jake’s preference is to play at St Kilda, my focus is to work with the clubs to get him to his intended destination,” McConville said.

“I have full faith and confidence that all parties can work together to achieve a fair outcome for everyone.”

Without going full eulogy, Robbie Gray is one of the most likeable footy players

Reckon there is a fair bit of under rating of Hickey going on - with everyone wanting a trade to happen.

Currently having a ruck the class of Hickey is a great benefit along with another strong ruck in Longer......odds are this time next year we would be looking for a back up ruck.

Yes we need fast mids but lets have context

Also think one of our biggest strengths is that Bains is under rated, maybe not by other clubs now - they may well be wary of him but the rest of the footy community.

Saints in a strong position while other clubs trying and lock in their trades and may well have to involve a club like us with the picks we have.

He is talented but I think his issues are between the ears.

He may well come out a new man and determined to prove a lit of people wrong... or he may not.

It's a 50/50 risk, so wouldn't pay too much.

Could fill a spot on the wing if he got his shit together.

I can't see why Hickey would want to go to GWS. Leon Cameron has stated numerous times that he sees Lobb as there number one ruck going forward so Tom would be moving interstate to be a back up ruckman.

He could do that in Melbourne.
