Yeah. Something like that....Read my post properly before you respond.

The only vote I care for is the players vote and there is no love for Ross there.

Other clubs don’t even plan for him because he can’t hurt them and they consider him to be an ineffectual ball butcher. That is the type of feedback that I take notice of. Not umpires, our former coach or other coaches who couldn’t give a fu** when they do the after game votes.

Ross is not an A-grader and never will be. He simple doesn’t have the god given talent. Either make him the last midfielder selected or get rid of him for picks that will help us get A-graders.

The club’s shame at trading our B&F winner is the only thing saving him from being traded.

All I can do is laugh at a response like this.

so was it biased when Jack Steven won it 4 times ? what about when Rooey won it 6 times ? what about when Lenny won it 3 times or Harves 4 times ??

Wash your mouth out for adding Ross to that list in the same way. Ross is nowhere near his from from 2017.

Wilson and Wowoden won Brownlows. I rest my case.

I wish Ross was a gun. But he just isn’t.

If you think Ross was a better player this year than Marshall then you need to fly over and watch more games. Marshall was robbed.

That was me calling telling Terry that yes we gave up pick 5 but we got Gresham with the pick back. Pretty much was a "Well you still gave up pick 5" haha. For the life of me as well I can't see how Ryder is a bad trade, really happy we have him for a few years.

Terry can't work out how we play Marshall, King, Ryder and Membrey in the same team.
Wait til he realises there's 2 Kings

I don't think he works that hard at all... he lost me this season with all the petulant displays after someone had made a blue (or he did) and refused to chase or cover someone else's man. Seb is yet another one of our mids who doesn't run as hard without the ball as he does when he's got it.

He can't be compared to Geary at all IMO. If he had half Gears' commitment then he'd be a gun.

This is actually my biggest issue with him because it brings the whole team down. Ross ran for his life in 2017 and he was a far better player. Still bombed it but we were able to cover for it.

If we took Gresh with pick 5 he would have been the bolter of the draft, instead we turned it into Gresh and Carlisle and suddenly its a bad deal.

These ****ing people

Listening to Bell this morning I was taken by his crafted language that specifically mentioned “a very good deal”. No specific mention of pick 6 which surprised me.

I suspect the Hill deal may involve more than one trade scenario. Both clubs may have discussed the possibility that if Saints cannot trade pick 6 then Freo may agree to another trade deal (whatever that is).

My assumption is that such a deal would involve an additional 1st RDP pick coming in the door and either another pick or a player. But I’m only guessing.

Something floating around is the Kelly deal and how we can assist Freo by trading Jack to Geelong for peanuts.

Let’s just say we do Bruce for 13 (fair) then Hill for Pick 13 (considered unders) and Jack to the Cats for pick 35 (unders). Freo get Kelly for their first and change (unders).

Everyone’s a winner and all of the over / under valuing makes sense. The media get bits and pieces and it looks like unders all round until the whole puzzle comes together.

Just a thought....

If trades get stuck, is there an arbitrator who can help with the decision?

Can you imagine, St.Kilda, "Jack Steven has four club Best and Fairest to his name. Played a handful of games this seasson and got 3 brownlow votes in one"
Geelong. >We only have pick 17, 36, 15 and 34 from West Coast."

i reckon we get a first round pick.

Well the hawks got Scully for a warm can of coke and will get Patton for a half eaten Snickers so, based on that, I'm pretty confident we could get Smith for as little as pick 5, next year's 1st and Ming's first born

On TR they said that it looks like Acres is leaving.

Probably just rank speculation to fill the minutes. In any case, two years ago my head would have exploded but now I think it's not a bad idea. Actually has currency and I see him and Sinclair as similar types in that we both want them to be mids, both can do quite special things at times; but both are prone to fading in and out of games.

Hunter is starting to look great in the midfield and if we're looking to integrate Coff in there soonish (with Bytel on the horizon) and keep Gresh's midfield minutes high then frankly one or both of Sinclair and Acres (at their current output) will become surplus to requirements.

It’s interesting that there is absolutely no mention of Newnes whatsoever. Like it’s not even been spoken of anywhere.

That is what I have been pointing out for a while. Many seem to assume that he is going FA and we will then use that compo for Jones, BUT I am jet to hear of one club actually talking with Newnes.
