Pretty obvious that Steven in his mind moved out of the Saints, so really what's the point of keeping him on our books if he is trying to be elsewhere? We don't need that kind of half-hearted commitment at the club moving forward. Just trade him for whatever and concentrate on players who want to be at the club.

I can say from a very good source pick 37 is about the best we will get for Jack , im told they see him as a liability, and as said above they may split picks as they dont think he is really worth 37

He unsuccessfully requested a trade last year to Geelong and was clearly in limbo this year, and is now the subject of trade negotiations with Geelong- I think he is fully aware of what he wants to happen and his manager is trying to get that to happen.

Forgetting the fact that it’s not really “home” for him and that he’d probably have no interest in that, there’s no reason to suggest Footscray would offer us anything better than Geelong anyway. Look at how they’re carrying on re a fit and ready to go Bruce.

Jack Steven is going to be very interesting. Do we actually want to keep him or are we just posturing with Geelong? Have a feeling we will end up taking massive unders for him.

It’ll get done.. a lot closer than what media is reporting. Down to a case of swapping picks on other deals that both clubs don’t mind.

Really? I seriously can't believe it was either unless both involved Pick 26 coming back to us.

Lets say we finish 12th next year then Pick 6 and Pick 24 = Pick 2. Change it to a third rounder and rate Acres at 36 and its still Pick 3. No way we'd offer that straight up knowing all the other deals we are looking and no way Freo would reject either.

If Lethlean still thinks there's somehow a chance of making the deal by utilising Pick 12 then we (and Freo) up till yesterday have been looking at the 6 to 10 range for Hill
