It's predicted only around 50 kids will be taken so all those picks will shoot up the draft most likely.

Yeah worst case we grab a couple mature age guys, maybe leave a spot for a DFA over preseason.

2021 we attack hard because cap room is gonna open up and we have 2 years of picks to play with.

That Nick Hind trade is utter junk.

Gags has lots of wins on the board and this really is a minor trade but geeze if you rate it on its own. Its a D- and I'm trying to be kind about it.

The only way it even remotely makes sense is if he had salary tied to him but if I recall he was out of contract. So it can't be that.

Just seriously bad.

He’s out of contract and would’ve walked to the preseason draft I assume. 27 next year and the extra spot might mean we get an extra 18 year old in and give them a crack to develop for two years. I would’ve been happy keeping Hind but not the end of the world.

The trade was utter junk because Hind is worth utter junk.

The Adelaide list manager and staff must be over the moon with Collingwoods melt down today with Treloar, Stephenson and Phillip all being shipped to the Dogs, North and Hawthorn for a bag of chips, two dim sims and a hot dog. The spotlight and blow torch are now off them and they can rightly point to all to say, see we are not the worst list managers in the AFL.
That's a hungry deal!

Haha, mate he was a delist... any trade is for ease of transfer, any slight upgrade in picks is pure wizardry.

I agree, Naughton looks like a natural back. Would be a good key forward but could be the best key defender in the comp.

It looks good on paper, but you cant play them all in their at once. Just means mids will be forced to play positions they aren't suited too just to fit them all in. They already had too much of a good thing so adding in more of it seems strange to me. Made sense if Dunkley left, but now that he stays and couldn't get centre square time this year, bringing in Treloar just seems strange.

Will be looking at their fringe mids who now miss out or don't get mid time because of this. Could get some cheap options from them next year.
It seems to me that with Dunley staying, he won't be able to play as a mid, therefore, he probably will again ask for a trade again next year. Darodo, didn't get it done, this year, it won't again happen next year, Dunkley should go to GWS or Sydney.

Funniest thing with the Hind deal is that it is a clear loss in isolation however the Druggies supporters are unimpressed by trading for an ex reserves player.

Either that or let him walk to Essendon, he doesn't have a contract with us so he's not worth a lot.

What if Hind was going to be delisted and we just took a junk pick for him? We nearly got a pick in 50’s Mitch Cleary was saying earlier? I think we look to up the order with the Dogs.

The good thing about Dunstan, Lonie, Webster etc staying is we have good depth on the list for next year so can pick up a few speculative players late knowing we shouldn't need to reply on them next year

One of your best yet!

Now our attention turns inward. Will Lonie take 1 year with us? What happens to all the players no one wanted, Dunstan, Roberton, Webster, etc? Let's hope that there is actually a VFL comp next season, I'm sure we could have sold a few of those guys if they'd actually played this year.

Players with contracts up at the end of next year, in reverse order of estimated value to the club:

Joyce
Alabakis
Roberton
Dunstan
Kent
Lonie (If he signs a one year deal with us)
Sinclair
Connolly
Byrnes
Ross
Wilkie
Billings
Membrey
Coffield
Clark

it says on Footy Wire that Zac Jones's contract finished this year; that can't be right can it?
JOne i think got a 3 year contract.
