With picks 21 , 64 , 67 , 74 , 93 , It does look like we will attempt to trade up with our middle 3 picks and keep the last for Wilkie. Would be nice to get a gun with pick 21. Looking at each clubs picks , we are in a good position , with trading up
21 take the best kid on offer, 2nd pick whatever that will be take a good mature aged player and upgrade Wilkie with the last pick.

Best haul we can take after this year of Covid.

Pick 67 and 74 for Hind and 77

Swapping picks to put in the bin? At least Dildo got to feel like a grown up and sit in a big chair, kind of our trade crew to make him feel special on his big day.

Most likely would have, but I would have backed in our department to try and make him think again and stay

That would have been a tough conversation given that we probably don’t really want him or we would have put the work in to extend him.

He is a half back flanker that will get a chance to play that role at Essendon with Saad leaving.

He has very little chance of getting a game in our defence and was pretty inconsistent.

He is also 26 so wouldn’t expect he has too much improvement left in him.

Higgins & Gresham as forward pockets going to murder teams on Marvel.

There is going to be huge collateral damage to list sizes , positioned beautifully for even stronger draft
next year.

Bulldogs will have 1 year in the sun then have to have fire sale next year look at their restricted free agents

Gallagher explained it beautifully today , the recruiting plan is really well structured.

Just look at age profile of our list it is just brilliant , 12 months time it will be better again.

A whole season of a relunctant Bont forced to play out of position beacuse of Treloar and is a restricted free agent... these are the opportunities we wanted to keep open by not trading our first this year or blowing the cap.

I think Lonie genuinely loves the club & will stay. Carlisle looks like he's staying? yeah. If Joyce is contracted? The only one I see us cutting now, is Phillips for James Frawley. So, where will that leave us in the draft?
probably need to delist Savage as he is uncontracted as well.

Any chance of bundling all of our late picks for an earlier one? Are there any points value to these ones?

On Pixel 4a using BigFooty.com mobile app

If this PDF is still current picks 64, 67 & 74 are worth 170 points, about the value of pick 58, or together with pick 21, about the value of pick 15.

Pick 58 is the 4th last selection of round 3, currently owned by Brisbane who also have a later and earlier pick in the same round.

Pick 15 is currently owned by GWS who also have picks 10, 13 and 20 inside the first round. Worth asking, surely?

That Nick Hind trade is utter junk.

Gags has lots of wins on the board and this really is a minor trade but geeze if you rate it on its own. Its a D- and I'm trying to be kind about it.

The only way it even remotely makes sense is if he had salary tied to him but if I recall he was out of contract. So it can't be that.

Just seriously bad.

Crouch situation A-

Higgins C+
Hind was going to struggle to get a game now with Higgins, Lonie, butler, gresh, Kent all in front of him, we were prob doing him a favour as he would be guaranteed games at Essendon . Nothing wrong with that IMO.

Going by the amount of players we have moved - I think we now have 3 list spots / I think ?
Frawley could well come into the squad and surely we can get a good kid for our round 1 pick which could well move from from 21 to 20 because the Crows will have to use a first round pick to get Hately.

Cox would have been a player scouts would have watched closely this season given the obvious athleticism and ability he has as a 199cm tall. He was at least able to show some of that last season in the NAB League with the Northern Knights. Cox can move brilliantly for a key position player but will need to develop his body once in a system. The son of former Fitzroy, Melbourne and Brisbane player Darryl Cox.

could be a player to look at but will need to be eating like a Demon to put some beef on.

A tall defender with good foot skills who can set up the play from the defensive 50. Reid is one of a number of key position players jockeying for positions inside the first round of the draft and he has good claims on a spot – he's smart, reads the play well and has also got some footy in this season, playing with local club Leongatha.
I think both of these kids will go earlier than our 1st pick unfortunately

Would be a nice touch if Jake was to pass over the number 2 jumper for season 2021.

Ideally in front of a home crowd in the season opener so we can honour Spud properly.
If I remember correctly, Spud wanted Carlisle to have the #2 and worked a lot with him when he first got to the club. Jake need to keep it

Spud wore 24 for 3 years early in his career so if Frawley comes, he can have that instead.

Picks 64 and 67 are worth the equivalent of pick 58 at the moment, 74 being worth nothing.
However you can almost guarantee each of those pick will go up by 10 places come draft night, with matching (ie, 3 of the dogs picks will go on JUH, 3 probs from Sydney, etc) so could well be 54, 57, and 64, which is the equivalent of 36.
I reckon there's a very good chance that those three pick end up netting us a pick between 40 and 45 on draft night, so basically the second round pick we traded last year in the Hill deal.
If we could take a first and a roughly second round pick to the draft, plus add Crouch and Higgins to our 22, then that's a mighty fine return considering our original draft hand. You've really got to hand it to the people in charge of the club at the moment, they're doing an amazing job with very little fuss or fanfare.

A guy on the Pies board just started a thread calling David King a f'n w***er (agree there).

Funny thing is he concluded his post by saying King must be "the penultimate Collingwood hater".

I wondered who the "ultimate" Collingwood hater must be ?

Must be me.

Their list manager by the looks of it.

I have this funny feeling Nick Hind playing the Saad role for Essendon will be very very good - not my fave player but I liked his speed, I think it was valuable to our game plan.

Yeah he should be a good pick up for them and will get more opportunity in a position that suits him but he will likely be playing for a bottom 4 team.

Not happy to see him go for peanuts but he was unlikely to get a look in for us next year with us bringing in more players, he'd be well down the pecking order.

Should get into Darcy Moore's ear about coming across next year if he wants to jump off the burning ship at Collingwood

Waiting to see who stays and what numbers are available buuuuut:

Frawley into #24 as above.

Crouch into #22 next to Bytel.

Higgins into #32 with Robbie Muir back at the club to present his jumper.

If Savage goes & #5 is available then Paton gets an upgrade.

Pick 21 gets the vacant #27

Hopefully we turn one of Hind's picks into Brett Bowey's boy. One speedy small ginger ninja for another.
