Option 1: See out a 1-year deal at a plastic club that doesn't want you, at a club the market doesn't want

Option 2: 2-year deal at a traditional club with rising youth and in your home state

Maybe he wants to stay on the coast and doesn't really care that much about footy. Perhaps he is happy to bank his contract and move on with his life?
