Jesus, Hopper would only be one first, at best.

I think you try to do 2022/Doedee/Crouch for JHF and 2023 for Hopper.

Trade Sholl and our future third for Carlton's 2nd, and grab two players and Max in the draft.
Think I worded that wrong - in either year?

That said, I just realised he’s contracted, so that might not be possible

This offseason wishlist I would consider…

Trade Doedee for 3 first rounders which then are passed onto NM for JHF.

Crouch + 2nd for first round pick to select Keelor.

Use first pick on tall speedy midfielder.

Would also trade Sholl and later pick for late first or early second.

Then trade for another player like Dawson.

Need to keep using whatever assets to build like Port has done in the past.

How the **** is Doedee worth THREE first rounders? And a top 10 pick for Crouch? (because that's what we will need to select Keeler). Even paired with a second, no club is coughing a top 10 pick up for a player who is in and out of a side sitting 15th which already has the worst midfield in the comp. Time to switch off the PlayStation.

I’d put us and North pretty equal, as it stands right now

Carlton miles ahead

Pretty equal is a fair comment, there isnt much difference between North and Crows and you could argue it is subjective in me thinking that North is ahead of the Crows.

Crows definitely have had better and significant wins so far in its rebuild compared to North. If youre using that as a measuring stick.

Beating the Cats Saints and the Dees in 2021 (3 top 8 teams) and beating the Power, Dogs and Tigers this year.

I can't see how we're worse than North*.

*North are worse than Fitzroy 96.
The thing about North is their midfield looks good on paper

LDU , Simpkin , Cunnington , Thomas , Anderson , Powell….. maybe Phillips once he’s over his illnesses etc is a v good list

They not great down back other than McKay and not great up forward with Larkey a lone hand

Which makes NORTH's decision to overlook Logan McDonald, one of the strangest calls of all time

LDU 23, simpkin 24, Anderson 28, Thomas 22, Powell 20, cunnington 31. Their midfield should be at or close to their peak. It's rubbish.

What's the criteria for this list? Any reason they omitted games and ages of players? Seems relevant. Blues comparison is also bizzare

3 firsts for Doedee. Lol. Surely just joking. He's probably worth a late 2nd.

HB hamill Murray (not listed) Doedee
C Sholl Shoenberg milera
Hf Rachelle RT Mchenry
F - Gollant Fog Newchurch (not listed)

Fol - EH (no real ruck listed - Rob 26) Dawson, Berry

Int Soligo, Keays, Jones, Mcasey

Not listed Hinge, Turner, rowe.

With extra draft picks and experience I think that team is better than North and level with the hawks.

Agree our list is the worst or at the least as bad as North's. That's what makes the no discussion of Ogilvie, Reid, Riccuito by the media (excluding Kane Cornes) even stranger. It seems to me that the Vic media know that the less they focus on our mess the more likely the club won't be forced to do anything about it.

nah.. crouch is just far too slow for the modern day game of AFL footy..

slow, high accumulating, plodders with average skills that do very litte damage to the opposition and gain fk all meters for their team are not much use these days.

dying breed..

Interesting ....this convo yesterday, on Crouch & his type of midfielder, coinicidentally followed my comments from a few days back

Listen from the 4 minute mark .....some really interesting POV's ....which also support your POV

This comparison was not as bad as I thought it would be. I put us clearly above North, just above Hawks but a step below Carlton which given their ladder position isn’t surprising. They are a long way more advanced in their list build

Early talk between Crows and North for Horne-Francis is our 1st pick + Doedee + Crouch, also McAsey and Worrall have been discussed but a combination of 2 of those 4 players + our first pick is now a very real possibility apparently, still early days tho so things can change especially now that Noble is gone. Hopefully i can get an update in a week or 2 on how it's progressing but it was good to hear we are at least a chance

Hahaha nice one

Crouch has **** all value, he’s not part of any serious trade discussions.

His manager is working the phones trying to get him a job next year.

The idea that he had currency in a major trade is laughable. You might have suckered in a few without the Crouch overreach

So 1st, Crouch and Mcasey or Worrall I would take. No on Doedee.

Doedee is the only one with real value on this list so if it were going to happen he would be a guaranteed part of it. Would do it in a heart beat. Doedee has great courage and plays his role well but the role is easily replaceable

Wow. Even the PlayStation says no

Crouch + 2nd for first round pick to select Keelor.

Crouch + our 2nd = our second

Would also trade Sholl and later pick for late first or early second.

WTF??!?

Then trade for another player like Dawson.

Why stop there? Maybe we trade for 2 or 3 whilst we’re at it.

Hang on a second, I’ll go shake the magic Dawson tree and see how many fall out
