Video shows drunken heavily tattooed AFL star Dustin Martin 'threaten to stab a woman with a chopstick' in a trendy restaurant after a day at Stereosonic
If this had of been DeGoey he would hung and quartered.
- Richmond Tigers Dustin Martin threatened to stab woman with chopsticks
- Martin was dining at trendy Melbourne restaurant Mr Miyagi on Saturday
- After he began 'acting offensively,' a woman asked him to settle down
- Martin proceeded to swear and threatened to stab her in the face
- After she said she would report him, Martin slammed his hand into the wall
- The woman, a Channel 7 producer, has since reported him to Richmond FC
- Martin admitted to being intoxicated and said he is 'deeply embarrassed'
Everyone has done stupid stuff in life and you regret it , because I know I have - but being star into days world you can't escape because everthing is usually caught on social media.I dunno, I thought they were light on De Goey when he was actually in police trouble 6 months ago. Interesting that the reaction has been so much stronger to the partying video.
Now that would be a wiser move.We don't need him
Draft or Taranto
Amazing how a fake news rumor can stick just through gossip on websites. That's funny, my mail was he mainlined it.
Agree.I doubt there is any chance we are getting de Goey. Doesn’t matter if we are throwing money at him.
He’s already said before his preference is to stay at Collingwood and get a deal done there.
Pies need to act outraged to compensate for the media over reaction to everything.
When was the last time a high end player player left a big Vic club and joined Saints?
Interesting to see some comparisons here to Dusty in 2015, who was heavily linked to North at not long after that. A $10.5 mil deal over 7 years was reportedly pretty much done…..but he stayed a Tiger.
Same stuff happening here. If we have shown any interest the media reports will just be for his management to maximise the deal Pies offer him given the circumstances. Don’t get lead on by this.
Players have had falling out in the past or just wanted to go home and moved - Lever , Jack Martin , Weller , Cerra , Saad , McGovern , Beams --- just this past couple years you seen guys like Dunkley , Papley and Neale wanted to be traded but just couldn't get the deal they wanted.I doubt there is any chance we are getting de Goey. Doesn’t matter if we are throwing money at him.

Never know we might not see him again this year , he might pull a Ben Simmons.Agree.
Doubt De Goey is de-goeying anywhere!
None of these examples are top end players who left bigger Victorian clubs and went to Saints.Players have had falling out in the past or just wanted to go home and moved - Lever , Jack Martin , Weller , Cerra , Saad , McGovern , Beams --- just this past couple years you seen guys like Dunkley , Papley and Neale wanted to be traded but just couldn't get the deal they wanted.
We are one club at the moment that would draw players because of the closeness of the squad and the coaches a basically good guys that get along with everyone who tows the line.
So DeGoey or guys like Amon , Dunkley , Taranto , Brayshaw could all find new homes next year.

Lever, Martin, Cerra and McGovern left interstate clubs to go to a bigger Vic club. Weller went home for massive coin and Neale wanted to go back to Freo where he played before. Saad swapped one big club for another. Papley and Dunkley also wanted to move to a bigger Victorian club.
When was the last time a player deemed in the top end of talent at Pies, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond, Geelong or the likes left the club and moved to St Kilda or even requested a trade to us?
Amon and Taranto much more likely than de Goey given a move back to Victoria seems their highest priority along with contract offer. History shows that a top player isn’t leaving Collingwood to come to us.
Lobb fwd/ruck with Marshall rucking.Based on current form & age of Ryder i doubt we will offer him another years contract, so maybe a priority would be to pry out another fringe ruckman across we tried to get Xerri who is now staying at Nth, we tried to get Hayden McClean from Syd he might worth visiting again as he has slipped back in order.

That would a great pairing.Lobb fwd/ruck with Marshall rucking.
His value is really had to determine. He has 1 year left on his current deal but tried to leave last year. He is currently being overpaid on 700k a year so who knows if he is willing to take a cut to get back to the east coast. That would a great pairing.
I was a great believer in Marshall as a forward/ruck but I reckon Lobb is a better option in that spot and hopefully Marshall can then go back to his 2019 form as a pure ruckman.
The question (as always) is what picks, how much $'s and how long a contract do you offer to a 30 yo?
Not for nothing but the Hanners "rumours" have a bit more weight than just a few people on gossip websites. I didnt see him racking in the flesh but i saw it on video and met many many people in my time in Sydney that personally knew him through partying and had no idea who he was.Amazing how a fake news rumor can stick just through gossip on websites.

100% but id add the Sexual Assault and the smacking a cabby (i think that was him). Its the cumulative effect.
Its going light on DeGoey, only to be rewarded with him going off partying.
If he hadn't had the police trouble, people wouldn't be caring so much about bali.
Probably Aaron Hammill 20 years ago….
