Well who else is dual sided with dal santo like time, kids a ferrari in amongst a taxi and hire care fleet. We have a few very good players we can’t afford to loose and he’s 1 of them imo.

I'm his biggest critic but in a rocket up him way, not a let's trade him way. To me Coff, Clark and Billings is where our biggest boost is likely to come from and a fit Gresham actually as well.

Easier fixture very unlikely to fall more than a place or two, we should with decent run finish 7 -10.

I think we should be in that 4th to 10th range depending on fixture and injury. It only takes a bit of luck or a couple of kids going forward faster than expected and things can change quickly. Coffield comes back and turns into a HB weapon and all of a sudden it frees a player elsewhere. Lots of potential and with less blow-out losses and players improving perhaps just getting some of the team playing enough games together will help. Lenny needs to get to work and find a forwards coach for us.

We are in at the frustration zone but sometimes you have to climb a rung at a time.

For every Dmac and Sincs there is a Billings, and Dunstan…

Players that have traits to suggest they’d be very good footballers but just don’t come on like you’d hope.

The difference between Dmac and Sincs is they’ve both got elite athletic traits and endurance. I don’t see that at all with Clark which shows why he doesn’t play midfield and is a liability on defensive transition. Much like JB and Dunstan. However, some of his skills with ball in hand can be elite. My concern is that he’ll end up being a GOP who has flashes of brilliance but never puts it together/finds a spot in the team.

He might but he might end up a star as well. That's why gambling on him being a bust seems crazy. We've got close to the finish line and want to start again.

The St.Kilda problem is that we get young guys with promise, over pay them early and they get lazy thinking they’ve made it.

Yeah Hunts has had some bad injuries but he’s put on next to no muscle, has an awful tank and runs like he’s in quicksand.

If he puts in the work and builds his tank and can go through the middle it won’t matter that he can’t run, he’ll be Pendles like.

But he’s come in and been spoon fed as an early draft pick and hasn’t had to work for it

The deal isn’t done.

Hill would like to go.

Ratten would actually like to keep him. I think he goes

A “salary dump” makes no sense as you would need to be bringing in a player with that salary. I believe we missed out on de Goey.

Multi year deal with triggers for more years apparently
If Ratts what to keep Hill, it should help us get a bit more back for him.

North can't claim it's a salary dump it if it's Clarko and Hill lead.

But that’s where the club would know. If the club is considering listening to offers for him, then they have a few concerns about where he can fit in the team going forward.
You don’t always trade someone because you think they’re a bust. Some players just don’t fit into some teams. And Clark could well be a good player at another team, like Acres. But we may be able to bring in someone like a Busslinger who is a highly rated Key Defender, to sure up a position we currently lack in, and still use our 1st pick to draft a good young midfielder to develop with Owens and Windhager.

Not quite I’d say and don’t expect too much from windhager and Owens. Good first year and I’m really happy with them but lots of work to do yet imo.

If he left. We would be paying some of the salary anyway

The return not what we are contributing is the KEY to this entire trade.

Regardless of opinions. As an outside wingman. Hill can cut sides up and be used very effectively

I'd rather take a lesser pick and pay none of his salary but that seems unlikely to happen.

But if it is Clarko who chased him and we are paying some salary, maybe we could get their future 2nd? Then try to trade into this years draft with it.

He still has 3 years at 900k

It opens up an enormous amount of money. Whether it's this year or next.

Or they think that because he's missed so much footy that they know that they can live without him.....or they want to show him that he needs to get moving by showing him that they might trade him if he doesn't start to put his fitness standards ahead of his life style etc. Clubs can just make mistakes as well. Perhaps the pressure is getting to them and they want to get lots of kids in to use as an excuse.

We've made a few missteps in recent years so I don't have heaps of faith that they'll get it right. We traded away Acres at a similar point and it backfired.

Instead of taking shots, why don't you suggest a trade that you think is ideal.

Not even Lethlean would trade King away. I think Saintos might have been throwing some burly into the water.

We planned for Bing this off-season.

It isn’t an issue.
Its always an issue having a player on 900k and not performing unfortunately.

If there's a club willing to take that contract off our hands we'd be silly not to entertain it and put the money towards someone that will perform

Do you know what Clark has been getting paid, or are you making assumptions?

I would have thought getting Hanners in helped us not overpay our other players, and kind of thought that was part of the point.

That’s a seperate issue.

His salary isn’t a hinderance to our cap.

His output v his salary is an issue.
