I'm not comparing the circumstances of the trade but just using it as an example of the reported value of a player being more accurate than what the fan base says.

You could use Bruce as another example. Or Dogs supporters thinking they would get a 2nd rounder for Lipinkski. Or Freo fans thinking they could get Jordan Clark for cheap despite reports he would cost more.

This club has conditioned you to believe that we must pay ridiculous overs to get players in but anything going out should be a punishment as well. If we wanted Hill from another club in the same position we'd hope to get him cheap but we'd accept that it's not certain.

He literally cost us the Kosi Pickett pick, Blake Acres, a future second and future 4th round pick.... to walk away with a pick in the 30s would be absolutely embarrassing. The club still has to sell this to the members as a positive, and if we are to believe that we aren't tight in the cap it doesn't make sense to cull him for what ever we can get.

They need to channel Bell and Dildo.

I don't think we should be chasing top ups at the moment. You can't build a list through trades and giving up 2 FRDPs for a guy when he isn't the missing piece is very risky.

Agree entirely. We can't keep burning picks on good but not great players. Hit the draft. We have the basis with Windy, Owens and Naz, get a top quality mid like McKenzie and go from there.

We should be after FA's with our extra cash and keep dp's unless we offload Hill and use the pick for a GWS in fire sale and new coach mode.

While I like the numbers Billy put up but, as big as he is, he's not a true KPD.

He's a taller version of Bailey Dale, Jeremy Howe or Nick Vlastuin. A classic 3rd tall interceptor.

Bryan has at least played 6 games and a Heath/Bryan combo down the track could be well worth contemplating

If we’re trading for another key back (which I doubt) it’s not gonna be for depth.

You don’t trade for a key position player then have them in the twos in case of injury unless it’s a botched trade.

We have doogs, Battle and Wilkie if we need depth get some state leaguer in the pre season draft.
