The club, the team have left me broken.

Every week I turn up to have my heart broken.

I can't anymore.

I am taking a break from the team, from my weekly torment. Maybe for the rest of the season.

I have a young family, kids to focus on, relatives with serious health concerns.

I have been here for well over a decade, and a diehard beforehand, but football is no refuge for me anymore.

Voss keeps using the word ‘nourished’ during the post-match presser. It must be a strange tic of his. Here’s some examples I’ve transcribed:

‘I felt nourishment from our consistent effort notwithstanding the result’

‘Our ball movement was ungainly at times, but the desire to move the ball quickly was immensely nourishing for me’

‘The group is definitely united. If I had to use one word to describe how the players are feeling at the moment it would be nourished’

‘I received nourishment from our determination to win it at the contest in the last quarter’

Maybe he should consider a role pivot? Become the clubs nutritionist perhaps?

We need to follow the Hawthorn example. Everyone said they were crazy to trade away Mitchell, O'Meara and Gunston and they'd struggle to avoid the spoon. But they've ripped off the band-aid, and are looking up, just a few short years since their three flags. At least we're now stripped of any illusions. Accept trades for anyone on our list over 25, and see if we can turn that into a couple of first-round picks to go alongside the pick 3 we seem destined for. Force PA's hand and make an offer to J.Carr as coach. Development year in 24 and target finals in 25

I suspect Crippa has been worn down by our reliance on him, much like happened with Juddy. Too much heavy lifting left to one person and eventually they don't have it anymore.

I think he was broken by thr end of last year. The tribunal, then two insane games (where he threw everything he had at it) and ultimate disappointment, then the brownlow.

The end to last year was bad at the time but i think it has broken the players, and our response hasnt dealt with it.
