I reckon people are underrating Pitto's impact. He doesn't play and we most likely drop this one.

His taps to advantage are great for our mids. TKD is also a 100% ruckman than what he was this time last year

We lose too much first use playing 1 ruck

JSOS was also serviceable foreword of centre

That Jeremy Cameron goes alright.

Giving up three firsts was probably a bargain.

Durdin for Martin is the difference between the sides.

Pittonet for Martin in reality. We were close to that not happening and I think having the two rucks was so important tonight. But yes, Durdin stays in for Martin going forward.

I'm finding it hard to calm down from this natural high - that's what winning means to us :D

The coaches trusted the team and made minimal changes.
The boys delivered an exciting brand of footy and learnt from last week.

When you look at the fixture, getting 1.5 wins from the difficult two games start was vital and set us up nicely.
We can and should win the next 4

Let's go and make history boys
Yes, we had hearts in our mouth moments, but there was so much to love from this game

Enjoy the win boys, rest up and get more fit players back into the team - looking at you Walsh, Hewett, Boyd - come back when you guys are ready :D

Big bro is always in charge

Reckon McKay benefited from Silvagni working Ratugolea into the ground with his repeat searching leads. JSOS has a phenomenal work rate and engine that allows him to halve virtually every contest he’s in at a minimum.

Also helps that McKay is clearly running unhampered for the first time in a while.

The stats won't show things like that, but it's part of the reason JSOS is a very important player for us

Proved to me tonight how you fit the two rucks AND Jack in the team
.
Durdin's speed and manic play a key part of that mix

People wanting King Ed dropped last week. Showed them tonight how valuable he is. Love the bloke.

Anyone who wanted Ed out after last week have absolutely lost their marbles

He was great last week but f**ken massive this week

This wasn't a 4 point game on the ladder, or the old 8 point game. It was a 20 point game in terms of what it means to our belief should the same situation present itself again. It shows we do have the game to win big matches. We have improved.
I’m hopeful we look back on this game as the platform that built our season. Was very underwhelmed with our play against the Tigers but thought for most of the game (last was slightly iffy but geez they were gassed) we played really good football.

The only thing we still need to learn is to really put teams to the sword when we have our momentum swings. We killed them in the first quarter and really should have been up 20-30 points at quarter time.

Cant be less than immensely proud of the boys just want them to start really believing in themselves and playing accordingly.

AFL must love us right now …. Two close games to start the first two weeks of the AFL season …. Austin should be commended for his recruiting this year … brilliant pick ups!

Really impressed with how we started the game particularly. With two games under our belt we’ve played two different styles without a loss. Last week we knew our opponents are the best counter attacking mob in the game so we possessed the footy. This week we knew Geelong’s backline were a little under done so we don’t let them set and get behind the ball we take 45 degree kick inboard and go.

Hard to find too many faults but it was frustrating how many goals they scored immediately from centre clearances. And in the last they definitely were beating us constantly in the middle. It’s meant to be our 1 wood!
