I want Essendon to get Gresham. Simple, because they are prioritising free agents as opposed to the draft and that can backfire on them. It might work, but they could be overpaying lengthy contracts in B graders that could potentially make their salary cap position tight for the next few years.

If Gresh wants to leave, then it’s best to let him walk and take the appropriate compensation. He is replaceable and it could be best for both parties.
It's funny Coz Essendon think their time is NOW!

It should be either pick 13 or 19. 19 is not ideal, but don’t think the club will match still. Gresham at 700k is not worth the money. He is not better than Higgins or Butler I’m afraid as a small forward and can’t play mid to a high level consistently either.
Could J. Higgins or D. Butler be our version Papley to the midfield...they both have good hands and pace.

Got a real Ryan Bastinac feel to him these days does Billings. Started so well, if he developed would have been a star half forward and occasional run the rough the middle or wing type, but just never progressed much, and got thrown all over the park.

Sucks.
Saw an article today about Melbourne preparing their SC for free agents next year.
Maybe Saints are doing the same🥰
If they manage to make the 8 next year whilst sort of gutting the list and improvement from the kids...very inviting destination...it's not a battle is a war....image saints win a final or 2 with the youngest finals list 2nd year in a row...that's gotta be Significantly Pleasing and inviting 😍

The fact that Dildoro is even being interviewed like an old mate just proves how f**ked the legacy AFL media is.

Bloke is an absolute joke.

We seem to be doing nothing, certainly missed the Gold Coast pick auction boat.

Any news on Howard?
NM have a number of late Firsts now.

Our 'busy' trade period looks to be fizzling
I know they said wed be busy but im good with us being pretty quiet. I trust in the kids weve got and maybe one or two little moves TBH.

My comment about the activity is more about the league in general, we extended the period by 3 days a few years back and all it means is **** all happens in the first week now.

If you made the trade period 3 months, most shit would still happen in the last 3 days, if you made it 3 days you might have 1 or 2 things miss.

Its such ****ing filler at this point.

Dodo ****ing around has put us on hold. Hard to make trades when we don't know what our pick situation is going to be.

My 20c worth
Camanitti is the Joker in the pack.
He was signed on for taking hangers and smashing packs.
Image a preseason of training leading patterns and such...future forward increase in marks taken per entry❤️
(Edit... substance, day drinking and herb...living the dream with gorgeous weather) ❤️
About to enter society for sustainance, wish me luck lol

So Butler then...maybe there can be only one...or 3 Mitcho and Mattieus ❤️
Id be good with Butler pinch hitting in the middle.

In reality you need a good mix and spread for different situations.

Steele and Crouch, one of should basically always be in there then mix it up between

Windy, Sincs, Pou, Owens, Clark, Butler, Sincs, Dow, Henry whatever.

What's wrong with those dickheads. AFL giving them the chance to bring in a group of 1st round picks and they're instead bundling them all up for 1 guy. No wonder they're shithouse. Pure ammos club playing in elite sport lmao

They have so much stockpiled talent that they need cream not cake. I'd do that for the best kid in the country if I was them. This is a pretty average draft. Good chance that none of those players are better than anything they have already.

Trade period is shit every year. Another amateur set up in a long list for the wannabes of the AFL. We're an ammo sport pretending to be important.

Have it run over the course of 2 days. Managers should be talking amongst each other all year long, come together over the 2 days and finalise any deals. Move on.

I really hope we keep Jack Billings, I can’t believe he’s not in our best 22.

There is no point in losing him, we need to keep depth at a minimum. Trading out for the sake of trading is dumb management. You have to be able to upgrade from that position.

This is why they did that dumb budled late pick suggestion which WCE rightfully said no to. If they want pick 1 theyre gonna have to give up pick 3.

Again.

Thats an issue they need to work through and should have prior to all this.

As a club they constantly burn players during trade week. It’s a theme at this point. It perfectly explains why they haven’t won a final in 20 years - yet we have been a basket case since 2011 and we still have.
And Dodo really doesn’t care (if he ever did) as it’s his last trade period.
