Quick glance on the Perth draft threads, and neither of their fan bases on this site seem interested in Allan, funny how as outsiders we always assume they want the local boy but just doesn’t fit the need as he does for us, both threads eyeing Lindsay Travaglia Hotton.

If the clubs are of the same thought as their fans maybe makes it more likely we could get Allan at one of GWS picks if there was a trade?
Although I think it’s been mentioned tigers could be a spot for him.

Difference being an 18yo kid fresh out of school and mums house,
Now being established for 4 years in melb with plenty of mates you would think there would be less pull to go back to SA
Unless he really hates the big city?

It’s always different with the indigenous boys who move interstate. The pull of family is always strong. Things can and do change but he’s going to get some seriously huge offers to move home in the coming years. He’s our best young player so the club needs to do whatever it can to secure him long term.

Apparently if Draper makes it past Adelaide he lands with us at 7
That Adelaide and NM deal would be great for us.

Pretty much ties NM to Tauru, and ties Adelaide to someone other than Draper.

NM wouldn't slide down without targeting Tauru, and Adelaide wouldn't need to trade up to take Draper.

I think he's settled enough at the club by now. Would be amazed if NWM isn't re-signed for the long term next year.

I think he'd want to see a bit of on field success. If we get rolling then I think he'll re-sign. I'd be concerned if we are bottom four

Well he’s hardly going to be excited by the prospect of playing for Adelaide if that’s part of the criteria

Give Nas a ridiculous contract. Surely we are in the best position around to throw huge money at him
This is where the Club needs to be smart (like the big Clubs) - offer him a very nice contract plus off field opportunities both commercial and things that interest him - I’m looking at you Gerry Ryan! (though to be fair my understanding is Gerry has been a very good benefactor behind the scenes)

how I can see the first round panning out with the current order.
I'll be annoyed if we don't place a Lombard bid. Gold Coast will match anyway, but on the 1000:1 chance they strangely don't we get a lightning fast mid/forward with decent defensive pressure.

Following the above rumours, Melbourne still have a dillema if they are interested in Armstrong. I do wonder how much they actually rate him.. or if they have a bit of KPF panic.

Think Carlton would draft Draper personally but hope rumours of Smith are true. If Smith is still on the board at Melbourne's pick, you would have to say they take Smith.

If they fold and take Armstrong at 5 with Draper & Langford still on the board (FMD..) but would leave us with the below;

1 Lalor - Rich
2 O'Sullivan - Adel
3 Smith - Carl
4 Tauru - North
5 Armstrong - Melb
6 Smilie - Rich
7 Draper - Stk
8 Langford - StK

Personally think Armstrong is limited and really poor mans Jye Amiss than any comparisons to Cameron. Guy can't take a mark on a clear day for a stacked Sandringham side.. fumbles around gets on the end of a couple in the goal square and converts well enough. Would prefer about 10 other players in this draft to him at pick 8. Would be a pisser if Melbourne jumped first.

It’s not tbh . Any stats to support this claim?

A few recruiters are of the belief that it’s either Langford or Draper for us.

Smillie goes 6

Trainers range is around 15.

Allan 9-12

Travaglia 8-12
Draper is not getting past Blues and Crows

If crows get pick 2 and take FOS Blues will take Draper
