I'm just saying, if we say to DGB "hey mate, we want to trade you to west coast" he would be more likely to say "if you're going to trade me trade me to a vic club" just to avoid the hassle and costs of selling a house.

Clarko was in charge when we recruited him and nicknamed him Shaggy on day 1 of pre season from memory so perhaps he will be keen.

Scooby Doo nickname for a kid born in the 2000s - Clarko sure knows how to keep it contemporary.

Callum Twomey on Gettable today suggested the Eagles should be barracking for Hawthorn to loose there remaining games so they can get the best 1st round pick we will have to offer. He seemed certain that Barrass will be at Hawthorn next year and that a first round pick should get the job done.

Also that they are looking at Tom Cleary as a KPD which could be some ground work in case Barrass goes

That’s extremely disappointing if true.
We don’t want to go down the Clarko list clogging path. Cleary is 30 and undersized.

List spots are so tight. Getting list cloggers in means the end for players like Tucker and O’Sullivan.

Twomey was suggesting that the Eagles target Tom Clurey as a makeshift defender to help cover the loss of Barrass.

Phew.
Totally misread that.

They're paid as marks more often than not and I'm ok with that. In both instances Weddle needed to punch rather than try to mark.

Yeh…. Until Chol does the same thing in the last 30 seconds which would give him a shot to win the game and put the Hawks in the finals. And guess what?

…. The umpires call play on…..

You can just see this playing out against us if the roles are reversed. Umpiring is literally a ****ing lottery in 2024z

As an absolutely left-field suggestion, what about Peter Wright

Struggling to be a permanent fixture in the best 22 at Bomberland.

We have no Lewis next season, and possibly farewell Gunston and Breust.

That leaves Chol, Dear and Scaife.

That, I'm sure you would all agree, isn't great.

Wright is 27 203 cm and easily 100kg+

Since joining the Bombers:

29.14 from 21 games

53.26 from 22

19.10 from 10

19.7 from 14 so far this season

115.57 from 67 games in total at Essendon.

Essendon are notoriously difficult to deal with, but at the moment the KPF stocks are thin, and even the thought of throwing Sicily forward falls apart if we don't land Tom Barrass.

He's the right age bracket too.

Bombers will want a ridiculous return...almost put a line through all their guys heading into a trade period just to avoid dealing with them

I'd rather not. PW's work rate is not something that Sam would tolerate.

What's happened to Dylan Shiel.

Media pumped up his value.

Thank god we never got him.
What they gave up for him and the Private jets...oh dear !

Why do I see a similar situation in Bailey Smith.

Trading with the Scum would require Will Day, The Wizard and Dingley.
