Didn’t someone post this here yesterday, have they simply read bigfooty?
For the record I doubt it's anything more than spitballing by him and Riley Beveridge given the age of our ruck stocks...

The Bulldogs have never made sense either, they have an even deeper midfield than GWS, especially with Ed Richards coming on well in a very similar role. Given how long it took the media to report on our interest, it does seem we are very close to the favourites to get him if he leaves.

I would be surprised if he stayed, GWS have known they were losing Perryman and Cumming for a while and still offered the contract they did. IF he was staying, I feel like that would've been announced last week before he started meeting with more clubs.
Dees the only other team that really makes sense from a playing perspective (assuming Pies/Saints aren’t likely), if Oliver is on the way out

Media said he’d be likely to re-sign a fortnight ago but the narrative has since flipped, you’d think there isn’t any going back on that now

NORTH taking another MID .....WTF !!
Would gollant be enough to get a pick swap with north? 2 and 4?
They do need forwards and with pick 4, they could get Houston.
This looks like a win for Adelaide, North and Port. Not sure Houston would be so enthusiastic...

Nah .....Gollant can be picked up as a DFA

You wouldn't go from #2 to #4 when you don't need to

Wouldn't they just wait and pick Lachie Gollant up as a DFA?

Reckon you are thinking of someone that you met on a Saturday night she was drinking Advocaat.
Her skin was smooth and her jeans were tight…………………….you know the rest.

Aaaahhhh the good ol days .....in my crushed velvet flairs & silk jacket, watching Skyhooks.....and Angus was actually 15 ;)

Doesn't matter where it is expected to push out too. You are getting the 12th best available player in the draft. Ignore all FS and NGA they are not real players available.
It would matter though in terms of how valuable the pick is, how much would pick 4 be worth if Lalor, FOS, Draper, Smith and Ashcroft were all tied to other clubs? Much less than if none of them were.

I get that the Rachele stuff was more nuanced due to defying (dumb) team orders but if they are going to roast him for inciting the crowd and then target Draper who took the piss out of the crowd by diving on the deck well they can GAGF. You either have your principles or you don't.

The insult to injury in that case is the overarching fact that Draper is just bog average at best.

bloke is massively overrated. does one good thing a month and some people lose their minds. there's no way he's good enough to be a first ruck either. if rob frustrates and isn't good enough for people, draper being first ruck would probably be too much for those people to handle.

Tom Morris believes Peatling either stays at GWS, or comes to the Crows

I've revised my 50/50 call to 70/30 in our favour to get Peatling

I honestly would rather try and grab Harry Boyd as a rookie and trust him to push ROB (maybe push him into 2nd place for our starting rucks). A full AFL preseason, mobility, strength and footy smarts he will be fine as an AFL ruck.
