Exactly. The only way it would work is if a Sandy player exploded AFTER the mid-season draft. Its a charity list spot that we cant afford to give up to a bloke that couldnt even get a vote in a VFL BnFIt's a shambles, if a player from Sandy was dominating or deserved a spot on a list, they'd be picked up in the mid season, national or rookie draft early on before they even got to our guaranteed rookie pick.
So we have committed to a Sandy player not good enough for any other list spot at any other club. It'll never work other than giving up a token (precious) list spot to try to strengthen Sandy.
What makes it worse, is we delist guys and cant rerookie them, maybe even Hotton, who'd be twice the player of any Sandy player eligible this year.
