Holy crap I was today years old when I realise Bumrah holds the record for most runs in a test match over.

Not bad Jasprit I would’ve never picked that.

35 against the poms in 2022.

lol.

There are guys in that dressing room that have played international cricket for a decade and a half: they’re aware of how the game works. Being happy that they had taken a big step to avoiding defeat does not mean they would assume today would just be a day of R and R and choosing which variation of naan to have with lunch.
oh look its the cricket overlord again
keep watching and trying to tell everyone else what they know

some of your posts are truly clueless

Interesting next Test. We can't go in at the top order with what we have. Don't like too many newbies but they're likely to make more runs at worst. What do we do? There is just no way the top 3 make runs as it stands.

Konstas
Hunt
Patterson
Smith
Head (if fit)
Webster
Carey
Cummins
Starc
Lyon
Boland

Other change:

OUT: Bailey
IN: Anyone who knows how to select a side.

Where do the likes of Harris and Bancroft fit in there?

I've added Harris, Bancroft and Michael Slater to the list. See below:

🇦🇺 Test Openers - Record After first 5 Innings of Career

Phil Hughes: 383 @ 76.6
Michael Slater: 303 @ 60.6
Mark Taylor: 203 @ 40.6
David Warner: 190 @ 63.3
Aaron Finch: 181 @ 36.2
Marcus Harris: 164 @ 32.8
Matthew Hayden: 150 @ 30.0
Matt Renshaw: 131 @ 32.5
Cameron Bancroft: 126 @ 31.5
NATHAN McSWEENEY: 68 @ 17.0
Steve Smith: 41 @ 8.2

not the current Steve Smith

Only way I can see us making a score is having stroke players in the middle order as the top three are cooked

And some of yours was dog shit.

It’s test cricket.

How would they assume today would be stress free.

They would know there were still plenty of possibilities today.

But one less, after what happened late yesterday, was that they would spend it trying to avoid an innings defeat

I suppose they should have been disappointed instead that one method of losing the game was eliminated from the table and Australia’s chances of winning had been significantly reduced

Aren't you the numpty who was trying to say Labs batted the exact same way in Perth as he did in Adelaide
What besides intent, footwork, keeping side on and trying to hit the ball
yep exactly the same lullzzz

stick to big bash

What he was trying to do in Perth, was more or less what he ultimately did in Adelaide: get through the early battle and then prosper. He took 20 balls to get off the mark in Adelaide. He found his touch quicker, and got going. He never managed to do it and got himself stuck in Perth and was too timid to even play a shot by the time he got out.

stick to big bash? I couldn’t even tell you who plays in it and I’ve forgotten more about test cricket than you’re ever going to know.
