Mostly true, but you need to add in the umpiring in Perth for WCE home games. By a country mile the most biased one sided umpiring in afl history.

Definetely not saying this is a problem localised in Victoria. It happens in every game at every ground for any team.

Whoevers behind gets more frees. Once theyre back in it the calls generally reverse.

Ive obviously got no data to support that other than just my general vibe from watching 4 or 5 games a weekend all year.

Been a really gross year for umpiring. They love to get involved for some reason. I wish theyd just umpire every game likr they umpire finals and just shut up.

Also, ive noticed when they accidentally get caught up in momentum and the crowd they get a tad one sided. After 3 quarters and the game is long since done they often come out and even up the count to the team who's been skull ****ed for 3 qtrs prior for the first 3 quarters are almost always.

That way the game ends and you see the free count as 20-20 the masses think nothing of it. Nothing short of fixing and and fudging the numbers to an attempt to hide their incompetance.

Not sure what the answer is. But I personally would like to hear more input from the umps in our game and how theyre directed to officiate.

That’s the queues for every other touched ball I’ve seen.. Because of the poor frame rate you never get to see the ball make contact with hands.. but it’s safe to assume if the fingers move the only thing they’re moving from is the ball..
the guy was diving for the ball and spreading his fingers out in an attempt to touch the ball. He probably touched it but he may not have too. The vision doesnt show actual contact so there would need to be an assumption.

Anyway, even if it wasnt allowed we still may have won the game because we kicked another goal

Because I raised regularity of occurrence, severity of offence is no longer a factor?

That's not goalpost shifting. Bombers' fans common sense on display once again.
Uses condescending terms like "champ" in order to try to claim some semblance of superiority, then makes gross over generalisations.

Yep. You must be right.

Everyone crapping on about the touched goal what about Rampes goal climbing shenanigans that cost Myers a shot in the square?

Karma is a bitch.
How did Rampe climbing a goalpost cost Myers a shot in the goal square? :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

That's not a response to my point.

In the last 3 weeks we have seen free kick counts of
Crows 24-7 GWS
Freo 32-15 Port

But of course it’s Victorian bias.
Yes the umpiring was shocking but it is most weeks and it’s nothing to do with “VFL bias” as the tin foil hate brigade will have you believe. The umpires are just not up to it and you can’t tell me the noise from the home crowd doesn’t get to them
Was chatting to a former AFL umpire one night a few years ago in Tas ( Ump was 10 yrs retired and quite merry ) .
2 things that stood out were how much they loved to be in the action and vicinity of the players ( real fanboys ) and how the psychology of the home crowd works on alot of the umpires .

Basically he said as they cop so much s..t it is very easy to fall into the role of paying home town decisions as they get instant gratification of the crowd cheering for their input or decision . They love to feel the excitement in approval of their actions .... as though they are cheering for THEM .

Said it was the main reason why it happens .

The review was a howler, but the free to Heppel that started the play was even worse. 2.30 to go in a tight tough game and the ump plucks a free out of thin air.

Mind boggling

Did you not watch the Freo game 2 weeks ago against us?...

Walters gifted 5 goals from free kicks?

32 - 15 free kick count
Our Crows get a merry ride against the GWS a few weeks ago 24-7 ... actually we have had a VERY good run from the flogs this year .
Would rather have matches decided by the players but each year the umps seem to wield more influence over games and the result of them .

Gutsy win by the bombers.
A man down.
Umpires clearly against us.
Most courageous performance in AFL history

Trying a bit to hard there mate.

It’s okay to admit you had the rub of the green and probably didn’t deserve to win, in the same way it was all against you and you didn’t deserve the loss vs the Pies.

The issues are with umpiring as a whole.

The last 20 free kicks of the game went Essendon's way!!!! It was 9-14 at one point and finished 29-14. 20 frees in a row to one team - never seen that before.
Where'd you get that stat?
