Is there a more improved player in the comp than Trent McKenzie? Went from a one-tricky pony who became a recycled player but is now probably in the AA side (after admittedly 3 rounds, but still). Very impressive stuff.

Travis Boak's last 15 months have been crazy too.

Freo, like WC suck in wet weather. Their teams aren't built for contested ball hacking the ball forward and following up again. Luckily for WC they are vsing Port during the afternoon next week as if it was a night game Port would be a lock for sure.

Are Freo playing Adelaide or GC?

They've got quality dudes like Lobb, Hogan, Wilson, Pearce and Hamling too but they're either underdone or injured
Yeah that's kind of my point - those guys either haven't been there or have only just gotten back. Like Hogan looked really short of a gallop today. I think you'll be fine when they get back to full fitness, but 0-3 in a shortened season is a long way back.

Looking forward to WCE getting their season back on track with an easy win next week.
Like all your great predictions I eagerly await that one.

Especially can't wait for you blaming Umpires in a 5 goal loss too.... Cause well... That's pathetic.

Terrible call. He's the type of player that would turn Port into a top 8 club.
That’s not the point. The question was one of opinions about trading Fyfe for 2 x 1sts and a best 22. Not if Fyfe would make Port a top 8 side.
And given he couldn’t make Fremantle that, I don’t know if he could make Port one.

They would but no one would do that. His kicking does not warrant that. Maybe one 1st and steak knifes until he improves his kicking.
Mate he won 2 brow lows on the back of his contested ball work. He doesn’t even have to kick the ball to be worth 2 first rounds

It’s just my opinion. Robert Harvey and Adam Goodes had two Brownlows and I don’t think they would have been worth it.

Two time Brownlow medalists Judd didn’t get two 1sts and a best 22.

That's a fair point

More value on picks today too.

3,20 and at the time potential in JK?

We all know how that worked out though...

Unsure if Eagles gave anything back.

I think they were both satisfied. WCE got some gems and Carlton got a hero to sell hope.

Freo are better to hold onto Fyfe. Spend a couple of years getting some young stars. The Ross Lyon era resulted in trading in some duds. Ship those guys off over the next few years, keep Fyfe, Walters and a few others + the young talent. Get rid of characters like Hogan, McCarthy, Matera. Fyfe is only 28. So if they could rebuild within the next 3 years ,he will be about 31 when they are pushing to get a flag again. If he plays until 33/34, then he might have 2 to 3 years of playing finals with a bunch of guys around the prime of 25 years of age, and close his career with a decent flag tilt. - This vision works on paper, but Freo probably won't do this. i can see them hanging on to these overpaid guys, bottoming out and Fyfe getting nothing.

Would Freo benefit trading Fyfe for 2 1sts and a best 22 player from a Rival club?
Um..... no. It would make freos team even worse. Saying that, Fyfe has been solid but he needs more help in the middle. Aish only got 15 disposals yet last week got 25. So he is a 20 disposal a game player.

Funny you mentioned that. Freo have the suns in round 4 and then the crows in Round 5 both in Gold coast.

Going by current form, Freo will lose to the suns then beat freo.

Freo losing 6.5.41 to Ports 10.10.70 was sort of expected.

Bit stiff that Freo are 0-3 at the moment as freo has been competitive in all 3 games. Lost to essendon in round 1 in Docklands and Brisbane at the Gabba last week by 12 points. Freo could easily be 1-2 or 2-1. Too many injuries, especially down back.
