Can't imagine both sides having 5 changes happens often.

Harris Andrews getting to play on a resting ruckman all game. This could get ugly. Not that Mckernan would have been any more of a challenge

A win here is very important for us so I'll take any/all advantage.

With next two short turn arounds and our dreadful record against Richmond, we better get this win to set ourselves up.

It's a good game for us tonight. Literally nobody (besides a couple of nervous Lions fans, not sure why) expect us to win or even get close...

A win would be a bonus but a competitive loss wouldn't be the end of the world either. Just as long as we don't get smashed off the park!

We've had a long history of losing the 'unlosable' games... but also pulling out the odd win from absolute nowhere as well against all odds.

We could use some percentage but Im not ruling out a close game.

Id love to see Skinner kick 4 though. Kid deserves every game he gets, fighting back after 3 ACLs and just 1 AFL game. The guy has absolute grunt about him, I reckon some West Coast fans are still having nightmares about him...

Bombers are probably due for a good game and we're due for a let down.

Perfect receipe. Would be a big loss for us tonight since we'll have the Tigers in 4 days. A win here and we can just rest a few going into the Tigers game and force the L.

We're certainly a much taller outfit than usual

Stewart a bigger unit than Laverde
Draper bigger than McKernan
BZT bigger than McKenna

Smart move. The teams that will cope the best during this compressed fixture will be the high-marking teams than can control tempo.

Lions ranked 10th, Essendon 12th for marks.

Welcome to Metricon Stadium again.
Billy Ray your host here for my game number 11 here on the Gold Coast.
Cool clear night. 14 degrees currently heading to an overnight low of 12.
Virtually zero chance of showers.

Front row seat tonight on level 2.

How much were tickets?

Players that are missing from best 22

Heppell = Washed up
Stringer = Ill disciplined
Hooker = Almost washed up
Lavade = No good
Langford = Definitely no good
Orazio = Average
Daniher = Hasn't played for years

Lions are going to pump Essendon a new one.

I like these outs... they are good for the Bombers. Stringer and Hooker are the only two out of that list that I would say really take anything away.
