Think he is keen to stay in Victoria.
Schoey has suggested (usually has good mail on the eagles) that we were hunting him quite aggressively/generally want more experienced and competent assistants.
The sooner we get a CEO the better. Enter the season without that hanging over their heads.

He didn't come to Perth for an interview with WCE. It's just purely coincidence that he's family friends with Justin Langer who was also sharing a bunk bed with Simmo in Dunsborough at the time and they all bumped into each other in Bunker Bay.

That would be a smart move on his behalf.
At the very least get a good look inside the workings of a better run Club.
Bonus is that if Goodwin has another wobbly year then there may well be an senior coach opening, that unfolds in front of him.
In some regards, the same could be be said for West Coast, BUT with the Melbourne gig he doesn’t have to relocate his family.
That said I think he would be a get get if we could persuade him to relocate West.
I'm still waiting for our club to announce something of note.in coaching ranks.

Someone needs to replace Pratt and possibly Webster
Unfortunately due to the lack of clarity on Simpson late in the season we were late to the party chasing assistants. That’s on the board
Identifying and enticing prospective assistant coaches from over east is just another example of how we’re hamstrung by the cuts to the soft cap - it’s hard getting coaches with young families to shift on modest salaries. They can stay in Melbourne for the same money and have 10 clubs to choose from
