How long till the club statement?
Doubt there’ll be one
They’ve gone into silent mode since the B&F other than the press conference to announce Nisbett’s departure tour that was really an excuse to request applications
Consider that since the B&F :
• Pratt and Wiley were mentioned as leaving the club
• Knights said to be moving to forwards coach and Schofield taking more control of the midfield. No mention of Webster though
• Nicoski is changing roles as advised by Bell to the West
• Culley and Witherden have been reported to have signed new 1 year deals
• Shuey to join the coaching panel most likely as a development coach
None of the above has been officially confirmed by the club so I don’t expect they’ll respond to this article either

What's worse is they haven't even started dropping player reviews/highlight packages. I'm keen to see Hewett's and Baileys.
Kate has lost the plot.
I'm not on much social media (well the Tik Tok, Instagram kind) but i'd assume if its one thing Sydney has over Perth is it's useless "influencers" numerbs so finding someone tech savy is not a problem here.Poaching the GWS social media team is just as high a priority as King Nizzy's replacement and shitcanning the song.
Can see the Worst headline already -
Garlick: Breath of Fresh Air for Embattled Eagles

Garlic breath would really be fresh air though.
I probably think this is a good move. Heavy handed but a good move given how compromised our position is at the WAFL level.West Coast Eagles look set to sack employees who play for rival WAFL clubs
West Coast employees will be told they will lose their jobs if they continue to play for rival WAFL clubs, sources have told The West Australian.
It is understood the Eagles will no longer tolerate their workers lining up for other State footy outfits while their own team continues to flounder in the wake of a disastrous winless campaign.
The club has a number of WAFL players on their payroll in community and coaching jobs, including newly-minted Sandover winner and former AFL-listed player Hamish Brayshaw.
The 25-year-old played one AFL game at the Eagles in 2020 and has a role at the club in community and game development and is also West Coast’s AFLW midfield coach.
But he has played at East Perth for the past two seasons in the wake of West Coast’s decision to pull their WAFL side from the competition, only for the club to backflip on the decision soon after.
It is understood Brayshaw, who has two years remaining on his East Perth contract, could be forced to between remaining at the Royals or to end his commitments at West Coast once the AFLW season is over.
West Perth utility Sam Rotham and former Essendon forward Alec Waterman are also set to be told they will not be allowed to play for rival WAFL clubs while working at the Eagles.
Rotham has been with the Falcons since he was a teenager and has played league 56 games including in last year’s premiership for the Falcons.
He has worked for West Coast since the start of 2022 as a regional community officer, with his brother Josh on the Eagles playing list.
Waterman has worked with the Eagles since he was delisted by the Bombers at the end of the 2022 season and trained with their AFL side over the summer hoping to resurrect his career.
After playing five games for West Coast’s WAFL side this year before suffering a broken sternum, there has been speculation the 27-year-old is set to return to Claremont next year, the club where he won a fairest-and-best in 2020 before being drafted by the Bombers.
West Coast have a history of employing players who suit up for their WAFL side. Current captain Jackson Nelson is the Eagles’ community and game development officer.
Sam Rotham has worked at West Coast for two years.
That’s despite a WAFL rule that states: “The West Coast Eagles will not use employment opportunities at West Coast Eagles and/or third parties as the primary source for the recruitment of players as Top Up Players, to work outside of the TPP”.
The Eagles have been contacted for comment.

Another Woodcock special.
I probably think this is a good move. Heavy handed but a good move given how compromised our position is at the WAFL level.
What pleases me is that we have supposedly negotiated with the WAFL clubs to give us a better salary cap. I also like the fact that we want players like Hammish Brayshaw to commit to the club. Ask yourself how much better we would be as a side and a big body to protect the youngsters with the following:

As a Claremont supporter, I like the fact that Alec Waterman will be coming home and possibly SPS. As an Eagle supporter, I would like to think we could retain SPS for our Beagles. A tough call.
Reality is that the WAFL team are competitive and a great development opportunity provided we have at least 10 Eagles on the park each week and topped up by the likes of Nelson, Brayshaw, etc. I do not know why but it pissed me off big time that in 2021 Schoey played at Peel. How much better off would we have been with him as our KPD in the development team.
I do realise there were good reasons for some of these players being else where, but when you have been as crap as the Beagles in the last couple of reasons, you need to do something.
Schoey seems to be doing a bit now wit our media now! He also seemed pretty happy to put on the boots and play with us when we were down to the base thread this season.Schoey, was jaded at the club with how it ended. You can tell through backchat, it’s toned down recently but early on it was glaringly obvious.
Even now he disassociates from the club
Not sure if it’s a player still rating themselves when they were pushed out, the sense of entitlement from the current player of which he was a big part of. Or he was annoyed at the admin and boys club culture that our emperor has brought upon us. Or both.
The HUN wrote a decent article during the weekend on how the clubs are going with their off-field stuff.
Here is the Eaagles summary

In terms of Gary Stocks, not a great look for his team

Massive positive not having stuff on ShitTokOur TikTok presence is honestly woeful, most of the eagles content on there is fan made.
TikTok barely makes any money, which is probably why they're focused on other avenues. Good way to engage with the youthful supporters though. Our TikTok presence is honestly woeful, most of the eagles content on there is fan made.
It's not hard to be better than barely anything though.TikTok barely makes any money, which is probably why they're focused on other avenues. Good way to engage with the youthful supporters though.
The club's social media presence hasn't exactly been profound for a long time but it appears to have improved this year.

That's why the content for Western audiences is so dumbed down compared to the solely educational content promoted on TikTok in China.
Interestingly, 90%+ of all ad revenue made by TikTok is internally in China. Most advertisers won't use it in the West because it's dumb challenges, thirst traps and kids who won't buy their products anyway.
It's why most creators solely use it to funnel people to Youtube, because you actually make money over there.
