Pies have Frampton & Markov off the top of my head.
Frampton and markov have been very good for the pies this year and have pretty decent skills to if we’re being honest..

but frampton hasnt exactly been best 22 for them week in week out..

And he’s not a player they play no matter what.. they are atleast willing to omit him..

unlike the spuds we have.. who have endless golden tickets.

They are both pretty ordinary players... many would call them spuds.

Who’s the spuds at the pies, power and dees at the moment?.. got a few names you can put up?

i understand that the middle of the table and lower sides have their spuds..

but thats why they are middle of the table and lower.

this “every team has to have a spud or two so the crows should” theory just seems a bit ridiculous to me..

you want to win GF’s these days.. i’m afraid you cant have spuds.

we have some pretty bloody good young talent in our team at the moment who dont get a look in because we cling to our cooked veterans and a couple of lads that, at times, couldnt hit the side of a barn from 5m away..

would it really hurt to replace one or two of these spuds with a talented youngster?.. even for just a game or two.. and give them a run.. especially when we play one of the bottom sides at AO?.. which we’ve done in the last two AO games.

this “every team needs a spud or two“ sounds like a load of hot cx&k to me.
Go and have a look at Jed McEntee and DBJ stats and compare with Murphy and keays for starters … no diff

Collingwood spuds are harder to find but Frampton is definitely one of them

ROB is a better ruck than Darcy Cameron so if you think ROB is a spud then Cameron is a huge one

Markov was rejected by Richmond and GC so if you think being rejected by one club makes you a spud which I think you’ve said before then rejected by 2 is like a potato farm

Bit scared of taking Mchenry to Marvel against the Bombers again. Last time, he had a snap to win the game from 10 metres out directly in front and kicked it out on the full.

Out - Sholl, Butts
In - Shoenberg, Nank

Sloane should be out, but won't.

We should really only be playing one of Mchenry or Murphy, but we will play both.

I’d prob make Mchenry the sub and bring Sholl in again as marvel suits him with his link up and kicking

Gotta admit not 100% sold on Sholl

Mchenry just has huge impact as sub that he doesn’t have as a 4 QTR player

Sholls running power and ability to find the ball gets him selected. 21 disposals was a fantastic return from a sub.

McHenry yet again proved how terrible he is in full games. Don't know how many times we've found his ceiling but no point consistently trying to find more when he simply doesnt have it.

I think Borlase should come in for Butts. Worrell being the taller player could drop back as the deeper taller defender and Borlase plays a bit more of Worrells role.

Weideman is utter trash so naturally I’m worried he’ll kick a bag against us, especially without Butts to take 2MP.

Port enjoyed the wet weather reducing 2MP’s impact but he’s about absolute weapon on the dry Marvel deck.

Sholl is useless in the air, weak in the tackle, can’t kick from 50 it seems and thinks he’s a great user on the left but regularly misses targets with it: OUT.

A good tryout today in the SANFL for Butts and Sholl replacements.

Based in what we know already, don’t see how Tex doesn’t cop a week for that tackle.

And, yes, I agree that’s a joke given he was awarded a free kick.

AFL things.

McHenry should never get a full game again
His impact as a sub is fantastic, but he showed yet again that flashes of tenacity and little cameos hitting up Tex or cutting through the middle aren't consistent enough to warrant an entire game.

Disappointing considering his great performance as a sub. Happy for him to be a sub and bring in McAdam.

Now does everyone understand that every side do not have superstars in all positions on the ground.

Yes, every side has spuds.
Sure, but you always have to be working on your weakest link.

We always have to be getting better a d asking ourselves how can we improve.

The weakest link in the chain should always be a focus and the discussion around it is completely valid.
