Lockett: 1360 goals, 590 behinds = 69.7% accuracy
Fogarty: 29 goals, 5 behinds = 85.3%

Nope, I'm still sticking with Fogarty for accuracy. Amazing as Lockett was, Fogarty is in a whole class above him.

the sample sizes kill it but 15% more accurate, wow

For the record, here's a table of the most accurate goal kickers in VFL/AFL history:
https://afltables.com/afl/stats/accuracy.html

The table has a minimum qualification of 50 scoring shots, so Fogarty doesn't qualify (he's currently on 34). Lockett comes in a #12 on the list, and is still only 3rd if you further limit qualification to players with 100+ goals. North's Nick Larkey is #1 on the list, kicking at 77.59%.

Fogarty's limited sample size (29.5 over 25 games) is a valid point. If we ignore that, then his 85.3% accuracy is streets ahead of anyone else.

I look forward to his 50th ss so he can magically appear at the top of the list by a fair margin

Out Lynch, Kelly, Concrete hands (Frampton)
Last week, I wrote:
"Frampton, has hands like concrete --- OUT --- not to be re-selected until:
--- he can mark
--- he learns how to kick"
to which I'd like to add (after another worst-Crow performance)
--- he learns better field positioning
--- he contributes on field, on the day.

He's had his 4-game trial and not made the best of his chances (understatement). They gotta drop Frampton.

Interesting that Tex with 461.298 at 60.7% doesn't even get close to the top 37 they list down to Luke Breust at 68.4%.
Taylor is way behind goal kicking legends such as Andy Otten at 69.09% and Barnaby French at 72.73%

Would be interesting to see who holds the record for goals from 50m+

In rebuild you need to see who is going to make it and who isn’t. That means making changes. You don’t win three games and start running the show as if we’re a contender.
Interesting question : does chopping and changing in a rebuild hurt or help? How long do you give somebody before you move them along?

I'm all for looking at new players and finding out what they have - but it needs to be structured and designed to give them maximum opportunity

Previously the AFC have failed at this ie Ben Davis 1 game at Cat Park - or sub vest Grigg etc ie did Jones debut in a Showdown?

you beat me, was just about to post!

We were too tall on the weekend so I think that we could drop frampton for a midfield option, probably Hately.
Lunch, tex, fog alone as talks could work well

Forwards are not restricted to the F50

He's in our front half and we collectively don't apply enough pressure when we've got Tex, Lynch, a 2nd ruckman and Fogarty all in the 22. And that's the case even when all are fully fit

McGovern could fill that 4th role because he was quick but these other guys aren't
Lynch barely spends any time in our front half.

Go check out his heat maps. He exists almost entirely on the wings.

Freo have three tall forward options don’t they? Perhaps we have to swap the tall forward for a tall back?

He's still a forward

A slow forward pushed up the field due to us having too many talls is even worse

It's in part why we almost lost to the worst team ever to take the field at AFL level

Too tall my goodness with 3 mini leaguers there who got 1 goal between them and hardly any lead up passes to them and it was the small defenders that did all the damage in getting all the scraps and Hall ,Ziebell moved the ball out of our forward area with ease away from our so called small pressure forwards.

how did you see Berry’s game yesterday Mutineer?..

was a bit quiet.. but does he get another week?.. or does he need a rest and an easier run in the SANFL?..

or is it a matter of having no one else pushing enough for his spot?

Has anyone spotted that Berry is #3 in the league for tackles? Keep unless he needs a rest.

(Former Crow Hugh Greenwood is #1!)

Read this 3 times and no idea what you are saying. Full stops can be your friend

7th in pressure acts as well. He's had a pretty good start to his career, seeing he's shown a bit offensively as well.
