Schofield, Petrie and Hill into the side....

Four of .......Sheed, Hutchings, Mackenzie, Jetta, Nelson, Karpany, Cripps .......on the interchange three miss out.

Sheed , Nelson, Karpany.... last one on interchange Cripps probably though Jetta a big chance especially as his photo is part of the team article on the WCE website.

Don't think we will go in too tall.. never works out well.

If we do lose to a depleted GWS on Sunday, then heads will have to roll! Players & coaches alike. However don't be surprised if we don't have a big win which will gloss over everything!

Will be big turnaround this week by the players and rightfully so after the embarrassment suffered all week ..

I am really filthy to see that Hill is in and Mutimer out. I don't care if it's indigenous round, it's almost like we feel that a token indigenous player had to play.

As for Barrass, I'm not shocked really but his become a scapegoat for someone who should've been dropped like Masten.

On a positive note Jacko Nelson has come in.
Hill should never have been dropped.

Exactly right, I was thinking of Libba being dropped because he's not at full fitness which appears to be Priddis' problem at the moment, I mean he has regressed but I also think he's not 100% post back surgery. If it's hurting the team, then why do we persist? I thought we were after a Premiership this year?

I still don't believe Simmo has full control of this list. From the outside in you could start to assume that when he was appointed, one of the conditions of becoming the senior coach, was senior players like LeCras, Masten, Priddis, Hurn etc... are immune from scrutiny and being dropped to EP. I doubt the players play for Simmo and I doubt they have much respect for him when he doesn't/ isn't allowed to make the decision to drop said senior players. They know they can perform badly and keep their spot, they basically walk all over him. In fact when he brought in the "Unity" thing I saw players throwing it around on Instagram in a joking manner which I made think back then that they don't have much respect for him.
Pure unadulterated horseshit.

Because Barrass can be better then he was last week.
Because I think Schofield and even MacKenzie can offer more this week, they will be desperate to impress and retain their spot.
Because I think Barrass will come back better after being dropped.

ok that's cool .
I will be stoked to see Emac back in showing his leadership and experience , hopefully ..

Will be very handy cheering on from the stands.

If we dropped a bunch of senior players, get beaten by GWS and miss top 4 by a game, fans would be going absolutely apeshit.
I honestly wouldn't. What's the point of finishing top 4 with a bunch of senior players who we know will soil their pants away from home in a final. Rather miss it by a game and try to do a Bulldogs with some guys who might show some ticker when it matters.

Agree to an extent because we did rush Cripps back in and it showed against Essendon however dropping Hill was a statement I'm glad that was made.
Hill is an easy target out of the experienced players.

What's it going to take for us to drop a Priddis?

Big concern is that we have 3 more games at Etihad (in 6 weeks), and those are the games that a lot of senior players might struggle the most in, but on the other hand they'll probably look like superstars in our home games, so it's hard to see any of them being dropped.

Both schofield and emac will get man handled by patton. Barrass was a scapegoat and would have offered more on patton.

You perhaps haven't seen enough of GWS. They will field 10 players who are arguably better than any we have.
That's absolute stupidity. If you think they have 10 players better than JK, Gov and Shuey (possibly even Yeo) then you're dreaming.

Well last 2 games they are equal. I win. One guy might be in the team next year and the other might be retired too

Last 2 games it's 0.6 to 0.2 so no you don't win

Whether Lecras retires or not at the end of next year is irrelevant

Mutimer has kicked 1.2 and averages what, 12 possessions? Hill never should have been dropped. Masten? He's in great form, played maybe 2 average/bad games this year.

Barrass was terrible last week and has been in bad form for a few games now. We need a player that will actually make body contact after that game, so I'm happy Schofield is in.

I see your point but I think it's just annoying that we keep saying we are keeping one eye on the future but our selection policy completely contradicts that

Don't think there's any chance Emac will stay on the side (hopefully), we only need 2 KPDs, and we have also have Yeo. Shouldn't be too long until Barrass is back in the side anyway, a bit of a spell will hopefully be beneficial for him.

yeo probably cant go with either either. Pattons too big and strong and cameron has height and reach advantage.

It's about getting a balance. We have Sheed, Duggan and Nelson playing. Potentially Karpany too. We may not be in great form but we can potentially be 3rd at the end of this round so they're not going to go all out rebuild mode. I'd like to see either Priddis or Lecras dropped but its going to take a few poor games in a row for it to happen if it does.

Why the hell is FM dropped? Must be so disheartening being a fringe Eagles player. He competed and put in a decent effort, certainly not the reason we lost! He needs a run of games surely?
Ah, besides getting demolished by Daniher so badly that we got smashed in the clearances the first half, and he was then moved to the backline and didn't ruck again in the game?

Should have happened this evening with Masten
Oh seriously, drop it.

Masten has had one bad game, that was last week. He has been very good for us this season and if you can't see it then you've got egglants on your eyes.

Seriously, ffs.

Regarding todays selection:

Lecca OR Priddis should have made way. OMITTED, not sore, not injured OMITTED.That is a message. They've been poor, Lecca has had some shiny lights, Priddis has been woeful with one or two, possibly 3 good qtrs this season.

This week, Lecca will kick 3 off 12-15, Priddis 27 touches in a good win and we all move on to Metricon.

RINSE AND ****ING REPEAT.

Dare I say it, I've nearly had a gutful.

....

Apologies, salt just covered my keyboard. I'll pipe down.
