Will be interesting to see how he goes. I'm tipping we will see him start to make a push for permanent best 22.XON. IN. THE. MIDDLE. ALL. GAME.

Will definitely be good for SPS.
Unless there’s an unreported injury it’s a pathetic piece of selection. Similar to the late Woosha days.
A few of the pessimistic fans are scared because you were so competitive, especially in the middle against Richmond.
What do we expect Witherden to produce that he hasn’t already shown in his career already? We know what he is.SPS is contracted. We're not fighting for finals here. This is audition for a 2023 spot time.

Has he been given a chance since we played a more aggressive corridor style though?

Pretty obvious Witherden playing for his next contract. SPS has been playing on one leg all year too.
I'd argue switching Witherden for Jones was the reason we started playing that aggressive style more.
What has Witherden done to come back into the side full stop?
Win 30 cheap touches in the WAFL?
Twain intensifies
That don’t impress me much. BS someone putting in a shift loses his spot to a genuine drifter.
Logic would dictate that Foley could drift back to allow SPS a role further upfield.I am also annoyed that defender Witherden is keeping mid/fwd SPS out of the side

Sadly there has been far too little midfield time for SPS this year. Seems his usage in Round 1 was necessity based. Since then it’s been HBF or HFF and nothing in between.I am also annoyed that defender Witherden is keeping mid/fwd SPS out of the side
I disagree. Witherden has a set role and is mediocre. In many ways we still don’t know SPS’s best role. You could also say that about Sps who has played 100 games
