Cole had 3 effective disposals.
Good thing that's not his role.
He had six 1%ers (2nd most in the team) - hasn't done a lot wrong.
Hurn in for Butler, no real need for Cole to be dropped, unless he comes in for Wellingham or a tall late.

I think having the three talls down back is ok against a taller forward line like Port's, on a dry deck.
MacKenzie and Barrass might be fighting for one spot for the derby the following week though.
One of them surely goes out for JK next week.
Hopefully TB puts in a better effort than last time if matched up on Dixon.
I think Petrie or Vardy will have to make way for Kennedy.
Sad day for MC. The only change should have been for butler and Lycett. Everything else is shocking. Two young players on the winning side away replaced by two old players with no WAFL just walk straight back in.Even Masten played WAFL for a recall. This is why I have zero respect for Simmo now. He is a bad coach guys, just accept it.

Seems logical unless Lycett stinks up the placeI think Petrie or Vardy will have to make way for Kennedy.
Well between Shep, Wellingham, Hurn, Yeo and Duggan (named at halfback?) hopefully Port's small forwards will be somewhat contained.
Neade out is a relief as his type always cut us up (nek minnit Atley gets the rising star nomination).

Cole and Redden( semi young). Stop defending MC, you are embarrassing yourself.Who's the second young player dropped?

Structurally I see it as
Priddis for Redden
Hurn for Butler
LeCras for Masten with Karpany moving up the ground and Lecca playing closer to goal
Lycett for Cole with Petrie playing full time forward, Gov switching to defence.
Makes us very tall down back and not particularly quick given Hurn and Gov are replacing Butler and Cole.
Priddis over Redden isn't justified on form. Masten out is justified but LeCras needs to show the sort of form he had last time we played Port.
And Cole out is disappointing with no yoof coming in.
Melt away.
Did he get the biscuit?? will he get the biscuit?? that's the big if. How do you judge a coach?? you judge them on their decision makings so you can gauge their mindset and level of approach. Simmo is failing in that department. This is why I got Keys mad when i said Simmo is crap and needs to be replaced even if we somhow win a flag. Why?? he is a repeat offender now with enough sample size to say that he has no guts, contradicts his own selection criteria on several occasions and loves to be stubborn with his senior players. This is a game where I would actually want to see priddis get destroyed by his direct opponent so Simmo can no longer avoid the question. That bad coach played in a GF in his 2nd year. Finished 1 game off 1st last season, and still in the hunt this year. Not really a bad coach.
