Definitely think a prelim from 5th backing up from a flag is pretty impressive. Win next week and everything else is a bonus. The only issue I have with not winning the flag is that it’s highly likely one of Collingwood or Richmond will win it.. yuck. We seem like the only ones capable of spoiling the party.. (in before we lose to Geelong and they get torn by Richmond).Whatever happens I just want us to give it our absolute all, play at our best. If we do that I really don't see us losing, unless the Cats pull something new out. So far haven't seen that in recent weeks. I think the boys will. Will be massively proud if we can just get into the prelim. If we lose there honorably so be it, but let's at least give ourselves a chance!
No that wouldn’t have happened. The AFL stated before the finals commenced that all of Geelong’s finals would be played at the MCG.Richmond did us a solid lastnight. If Bris had won and Tigers hosted a semi at the G next week I could definitely see the VFL shifting our game to Kardinia. But now we are the only game in town next week it will 100% stay at the G.
Nelson out
This is all Nelson contributes to the side..gets ball, runs into a pack, tackled, ball up, gets ball, gets tackled, ball up, gets ball, tries to shake tackle but can’t, holding the ball
FFS and cry me ******* river about these poor hard done by vic clubs. Seriously, Geelong is the only team in the league who gets all the benefits of the no-travelling vic clubs while retaining the home ground advantage of the non-vic clubs.

On the flip side, either Richmond do a 99/00/01 Essendon and have a three year period of dominance for only one flag, or the pies lose back to back GFs.Me too. I don't care about Bucks, I don't want Collingwood to win another. Kissed on the donger by the AFL, Eddie etc. I hated seeing them win the 2010 GF replay. Also they'll start boasting about their 16 flags and being the best ever, as uf some flags in an amatuer comp in the 20s have any relevance today. They've won 2 flags in 60 years lol.
The more likely scenario and alternative, a Richmond flag, is just as unbearable. In 2017 I didn't mind, they broke the drought, but another flag they'll be insufferable.

Yeah I guess that's the silver lining. Collingwood winning the PF isn't a sure thing, though. If GWS get going they'll take it up to them.

He gets caught with the ball all the time. Doesn't seem to think about what he's going to do with the ball before he takes possession.Nelson has been shutting down some of the opposition's better forwards over the last few weeks.
What could he do about being caught holding the ball in such congestion? That could have been any of our other players.
What Nelson offers in positives far outweighs his negatives. It was his first final ffs.
Perfect, they should rename it the STFU Stadium!?Once Geelong play all their home matches at lesbian stadium then they have a solid argument to host all home finals there as well. Untill then geelong should STFU.
Yes but in 2017 Sydney started the season 0-6 and were pretty much cooked at the semi final. We are fresh hungry and can get the job doneLet's not get too excited by one week of GWS thumping a team that won 12 games. Everyone goes overboard on the teams that won in finals week 1.
Geelong and Brisbane will be different propositions next week. Geelong thrashed Sydney in a semi in 2017 before reverting to type in the prelim.
Richmond are the only team who've been in consistently good form and seem to have peaked at the right time of year, but they're now on a long run of wins again so who knows? After last year's prelim you'd think they wouldn't get complacent.
Right now a Collingwood vs Richmond grand final is the most likely outcome of how things are going.
So you don't think he offers much to the team? You think him getting caught with the ball is bad enough for him to be omitted and one of his opponents to be let off the chain? How do you think tippa would have performed without Nelson playing? He gets caught with the ball all the time. Doesn't seem to think about what he's going to do with the ball before he takes possession.
No changes, Duggan and OA to be kept fresh for the following week.
Not sure Duggan is up to playing in a final after having been out so long as IMO he's not match fit at the moment. He looked "all out of sorts" when he came back & consequently was dropped for last Thursday night. That's why Simmo applied for him to be able to get a game in the WAFL. I cant see how anything will change so if Nelson is ok probably will keep his place. If not OK Cole may come in as he's been held over.No change unless Nelson doesn’t get up from that head knock in which case Duggan comes in.

Oh I didn’t realise that Cole was held over, yeah it will be him then if Nelson doesn’t get up.Not sure Duggan is up to playing in a final after having been out so long as IMO he's not match fit at the moment. Yes their fans are a bit of a pain in the *** following success in winning a flag. Maybe the lesser of the 2 evils if we don't make the big dance.Me too. Just had a look at Nelsons last 5 weeks....hasn't shut down the opposition's best players usually get the 4th or 5th forward...in 4 of those 5 games laid a total of 5 tackles....he will cost us big might even be this weekNelson has been shutting down some of the opposition's better forwards over the last few weeks.

Hmm i wish there was room for Cameron. He just has better kicking skills than Waterman. Every time Waterman lines up for goal its a lottery where the ball flies off to.
