Holy crap! What a whingefest that was. Doesn’t want Friday because it’s hard for fans to get there after work but ALSO pissed that they didn’t get to play Thursday ...?!
Cats should seriously consider taking on Kleenex as a major sponsor.

Once Geelong play all their home matches at lesbian stadium then they have a solid argument to host all home finals there as well. Untill then geelong should STFU.

That would make it ridiculously one sided for Geelong. This would mean that 11 of the 17 games they play in Victoria would be at KP with no travel fatigue. The MCG clubs already get an armchair ride, now the Cats would have an even bigger one. It would be an absolute joke if this were allowed to happen.

I therefore expect it to be put in place within the next 5 years, less if Gutless-Gil is still CEO.

All this prima donna statements from the Cattery about the MCG, the teams calling the Docklands home do not get to play their finals there. If the Doggies, Norf, Saints, etc were in Geelong’s position, games would be at the MCG. End of story and no bitching.

Let’s focus on the football. I’d like to borrow something from Sesame Street and say this game is brought to you by numbers 3 and 11. Parfitt to face some NicNat tackles, Gaff to show Geelong what outside run looks like on a wide oval, Kelly to continue his career in his number but farewelling the hoops and Chris Scott to go 3-11 in finals.

Would back Nelson or Sheppard on Ablett.

Redden on Selwood. Got off the chain last time we played.

Yeo h2h on Dangerfield.

Hutch on Kelly or their HB who racks it up.

They are spending too much time complaining about where their "home" final is played rather than winning. We are chance to win on friday night as this whooe home ground issue could be distracting them

If they lose they will earn the tag of "can't win at the MCG".

Hutch on Kelly will be a good option. Dangerfield is probably too strong for Hutch to go to him. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but I do worry about the toll the travel may take on the players. If they do win, perhaps remaining in melbourne is an option?

Geelong are 1W 6L away from KP since the bye, including 0W 2L at MCG. We have the wind at our backs and am feeling pretty good about our chances going in to this one.

I'd love to see OA play, I just don't know how we fit him in :(

Geelong are going to attempt to lock down and grind their way though this one. No way will be allowed the space that Essendon afforded us.

Heard a stat on SEN last week that in finals over the last three seasons, the 'magic number' that teams need to score to win is 85 points.

Funnily enough - our 2019 season average is 13 goals 9.7 behinds (87.7 points) from 50.7 inside 50s (we score going inside 50 every 2.23 times).

I reckon they will attempt to put massive clamps on JK/JD, I'd be ecstatic with another return of 6 goals between them but I can see this being a game where we get a combined return of 2-4 goals between them.

This means we need the bulk of our goals to come from our small blokes, with ideally a couple from the mids as well (some running bombs Boots and Yeo please). This is a massive area we can use to advantage over them: our forward half legspeed versus some ageing veterans.

Just get the ball in there enough times and let them do their work. Can't wait.

Woo hoo, managed to score tickets on Level 1 behind the goals undercover using my Vic eagle membership for 35 bucks, very surprised that the AFL is not gouging. Was there in 2011, want to see a different result this time. Let's hope Scott gets scared with the forecast of rain and leaves his ruck man out again :)

Only 5 touches in the wafl so will be surprised to see him get a call up

12 tackles though, his forward pressure could be just as valuable

Likewise, amazed Ticketek didn't do its usual thing at times of high demand.
