Changes vs GWS

What makes people think Frampton is a chance after being overlooked for over a month when Ryder was out earlier this year. What’s changed?
We know he'll be overlooked - Hinkley doesn't want to be wrong, even if it f**ks our season in the process. People are just hoping something has changed.

He's fit now.

Bonner and Thomas need to be looked at.
Ryder and Gray will probably miss.

Injury aside Bonner has slipped away since the beginning of the year.
Thomas needed to kick goals today. A return of four goals in six games isn't enough, Lindsay gets the ball more than Jake Neade but he doesn't bother the scorer any more often. The only thing that could save Thomas is if Robbie Gray is ruled out.

Trengove is definitely worth a recall and could replace Bonner.
I have no idea if Ken's thinking re Frampton has altered in the past ten weeks. If it has Billy may get a shot at it.
Maybe Farrell makes his debut.
Lienert is also a possibility.

The whole selection will be a game of draughts this week to cover injury and the problem is that there are not a lot of 'pick me' about our SANFL form.

We aren't winning next week, I wouldn't be playing anyone in doubt, especially Robbie. I don't understand why Amon came in this week, so have no idea who he goes out for. Has the Young/AhChee roundabout been replaced with Johnson/Amon? Trengove did enough in his two games to earn a recall. I'll defer to the Maggies watchers on whether they play Farrell and/or Lienert. Would like a bit more mongrel in defence without Jonas.

GWS will seriously penalise our rubbish disposal with fast rebound (remember when we used to play like that? :( ). We need to get the skills right this week and give our players some leeway to play to their strengths.

Amon has etched his name alongside Toumpas as never to play again.

Some hard calls to make this week with Ryder, Gray, Bonner all injured. If all three don’t get up I don’t know how you can then swing another 3-4 changes on top based on poor performance.

Amon has to go out and then you could say any of Thomas, Boak, Polec, SGray, Ebert should drop out also.

Out Ryder; inj (Frampton IN)
Out R Gray inj (Trengove IN)
Out Bonner inj (Lienert IN)
Out Amon (Jesus....who?.....not sure....Farrell?....Barry?...perhaps right the first time.....Jesus)

That's already too many changes.

Thomas on his last chance. He is there to score goals, not emulate Neade.

Frampton, Farrel, Lienert are a must to make their AFL debuts. Trengove never should have been dropped so should come back in.

Johnson’s goal from today is almost enough to get him back in. And Pittard would have to be close as well.

Today’s pathetic effort must be punished.

Ryder out inj
Amon to never play AFL for us again
Gray inj ??
Thomas Dropped
Ebert Dropped

Lienert should play in the Midfeild in our AFL side, tall, fast, Strong mark and a long penetrating kick.

Frampton has to get a crack at it sooner or later and none of us know whether Ken's opinion has changed. Frampton has had ten games in the SANFL since Ken's earlier pronouncement and has the chance to put his late pre season behind him. Billy's progress in that ten weeks may change Ken's opinion. I guess some of us might like to think there is a chance Ken has had a shift in opinion while others think it unlikely. A smart journo, if there is one around, might ask Ken the question during the week. I, for one, would be interested in his answer.

He's actually been solid the last month and good today.

In the ruck he just has to do what Trengove did, tap the ball down and hunt it. He's no great shakes as a ruck but he is 200cm aggressive and mobile. He can at least compete. And he's handy around the ground and forward.

On the other hand I understand your scepticism.

Can see us bringing in Lienert to be a 4th tall defender, throw Dixon in the ruck and have Hoff and Watts forward.

Please no. Dixon can't ruck. #PlayFrampton

Lienert has to play.

in
frampton Farrell Trengove

out
Amon Ryder Gray

if gray somehow pulls up Trengove stays out, same goes if marshall oulls up

Can we have Jacko back?

Injuries starting to pile up now. Hopefully Robbie is able to get up for next week.

I doubt we'll play another ruck instead of persisting with the Westhoff/Dixon combo.
