Problem with this though does it translate into good footy or good track n field?
Some on here under estimate / ignore nerves for 1st gamers. Very real factor, those who don't suffer them often end up good'ens.
Self belief even a swagger is ok by me, if you can back it up.

Lienert,Hombsch,Clurey & Dougal a bit top heavy ? Surely Dougal ruck/forward interchange with Dixon ?
I’d say the is a reasonable chance Howard goes foward and rucks or a much smaller chance Lienert goes into the middle which leaves us very small up foward....which would allow Westhoff to play foward.

dixon is blind as a bat and can't judge the flight of the footy. this is fine for a ruck or a leading up the ground chf but tough for a full forward.
his kicking has also gone to shit which I can't explain.
but stepping back, 2017 looks like an anomaly and 2018 version is the norm. He's still one of my favourites but we have to use him differently to get the most out of him.

I truly don't enjoy watching our games due to our frustrating game plan. It still ranks higher than a friday night with carlton, but only just.
They must be on drugs.
While im hoping for an upset win it wont surprise me if their mid fields cuts us to shreds. If they do the gaping wound wont be healed as sharks love the sniff of blood. kern seems to turn pale under pressure.
I hope he does but im afraid hinkley will have his boys playing some pretty negative football, so he might become very nervous in that atmosphere

In 2013 and 14 that attacking gameplan workedApparently defense wins premierships, there's nothing in the book about needing to score.
Hinkley has fully embraced this philosophy which is why when we try to bring the ball forward of centre we are forced to kick to the opposition.
Other teams figured it out. 2015 was a bust because of it. 2016 we tried the zone. Big bust. 2017 went back to offensive, couldnt beat any top 8 teams.
Now on to try ultra defensive.

We need a game plan like Hawthorn had that no one could work out.
We just need a game plan that works to our players strengths. Something that makes the team better and a coach that puts our best 22 out on the field not the BS selections and good passes we have to put up with.

Seriously though, why do clubs bother employing opposition analysts when the only opposition game plan they can work out is Ports'?
