In: Crouch (surely?), Douglas/McHenry/Jones (I'd much rather McHenry or Jones but they will bring Douglas back), Hartigan
Out: Sloane (inj.), Atkins (softer than bowel movements after a vindaloo), Mackay (wasn't in the original side and I suspect they will replace him with Hartigan who Mackay replaced tonight)

Murphy largely anonymous tonight and they may bring Stengle in for him, but I suspect they will keep him in for another week. Sauce for ROB another likely change they'll make.

Ok let’s get this kicked off.

Here’s what I would do...

Out: Sloane (inj), Mackay, Atkins
In: M Crouch, McHenry, Hartigan

Our defense was an absolute rabble without Harto tonight. I’m not Harto’s biggest fan, but holy shit Mackay was beyond awful and the structure was all wrong.

Atkins had the worst 27 possession game in history. He was absolutely disgraceful. Need McHenry’s frontal pressure instead.

Here’s what is infinitely more likely to happen....

Out: Sloane (inj), ROB, Murphy
In: M Crouch, Jacobs, Douglas

heck it. Let's swap defenders with the forwards.
But in all seriousness let's swap the defenders with the forwards.

What I want to happen:

Atkins, Mackay, Murphy, Sloane (injury) out
mcHenry, Poholke, Jones, Hartigan in

What will likely happen:
Sloane, ROB, Gibbs out
Douglas, Jacobs, Hartigan in

No imagination, no inspiration and no accountability

Sloane injured- when is Mrouch ready to come back? If not, IDK, Poholke? Scratch that, they'd probably opt for Douglas, wouldn't they?

Murphy very quiet, and wasn't immense in terms of pressure- Stengle, Jones, McHenry?

Mackay was a late in and didn't do a great deal, so by rights he should be back out, but its David Mackay so...

Can't see us dropping Ratkins on the back of a 27 possession game, regardless of his squibbed contests.

I hope we don't bring Jacobs back in- he would have been monstered by Gawn just as badly as ROB, if not worse- and I'm not sure how much stock we should put in 5 goal SANFL performances.

Would we want to bring back Harto? How many big forwards do GWS play?

Gibbs only had 13, but did have a bit of a run with role in the 2nd half and showed some defensive intent. Yoyoing him in and out of the side again would be terrible for his headspace.

Some speculation Seed is still not quite right.

Most likely:
OUT: Sloane (inj), Murphy
IN: Knight, Douglas (hopefully Matt Crouch is fit)

Mackay and Walker deserved to be dropped, but can't see it happening. Mackay was continually ragdolled. Don't think Gibbs played with any greater intensity than usual, but they'll leave him in and say that he played his role and did what the coach asked.

He wasn't all that impressive in the SANFL. Sauce was BOG and looked like a new man: him replacing ROB will be the big melt this week.

After ROB's first 3 quarters tonight I was ready to pull the trigger on Jacobs next week, and Ive been a vocal Sauce detractor for a couple of years now.

We dropped Gibbs after a similarly terrible 27 possession game against Geelong earlier in the year.

I’m going to say Atkins v Dees was a worse overall game than Gibbs v Cats too.

No way are we dropping Murphy.

We do that we're basically saying "Hey the only bloke who is prepared to smash in is shit! You guys just stand there and watch the opposition jump at it and get the footy. That's what we want! Tally ho chaps!".

FFS. Murph was the reason for 2 of the spilled goals in Q4. FFS.
