If Ryder and Frampton are swapping between forward and ruck and Marshall is forward, it's the same situation as when Ryder/Lycett swap with Marshall forward.

Needs to be Ryder/Ladhams sharing the ruck + 1 fwd spot, Frampton full forward, Marshall CHF, Hoff roaming.

Ryder to play ruck all game with a small chop out for billy. Not the same ruck game spread as ryder and lycett

Hawks ceglar will need to ruck all day so paddy can do the same.

I reckon I might cry if Ryder is sitting on the bench early in the 3rd quarter holding something. I've still got PTSD from it.

Going in with just Ryder worries me. Means taking Framps out of the forward line to cover him and he is notoriously breakable when rucking full time. And Framps has not proven to be a great ruck option. We should be pressing home a ruck advantage, not going with the attitude of, well they have guys out so lets not worry about it.

With McEvoy out, Ceglar will ruck with Roughead I guess? I am not sure the typically windy conditions down in Tassie suit a tall side. I wouldn't be picking Ladhams if Lycett is out. We have Ryder/Frampton/Westhoff.

Ryder/ Westoff

Billy is the KPF we are not going to **** up in the ruck.

Would play Ladhams because we can.

Jonas in the side with Dougal forward would fix this.

If Ryder breaks down in the first game rucking solo for the season, then he is cooked, and we know then to delist him end of season. Picking a team to mollycoddle a bloke through a game would be shambolic management.

Watch Ken do structure acrobatics again if Lycett goes out and not Pick ladhams or Marshall

Does Atley survive for Drew?
Motlop for Gray
Broadbent for Jonas

Why do we have to adjust to suit the opposition team every single time? If he have an advantage to be able to go with two genuine ruckman, we should be looking to exploit it. Unfortunately this coaching regime does not like to do that.

If it is windy/wet down in Tassie, going in too tall would be a bad move. I don't see this game as the one in which we experiment with a rookie ruckman, but I do agree we should pick a team to balance enhancing our strengths and exploiting an opponents weakness/es.

Talls not being suited to the wet is greatly overstated. When skills go south and you're just hacking the ball forward, talls are very valuable. We're not talking about guys that can't move anyway, guys like Frampton, Howard and Westhoff can run as well as anyone.

A rookie ruckman tall however....

Does Launceston need rain? Because Port Adelaide is coming to town.

I reckon he's not 100% as it is, there was a point during the last game (4th quarter I think) where he looked quite proppy, the way he was trying to walk had me thinking it was his Achilles.

His achilles is mush. It's an ongoing thing, it's just his age and a long term injury.

Lycett has been a god send for him. Who knows how early he'd break down being forced to do everything himself.

Ryder has been very disappointing this year, he really is lucky to still have his spot. I feel he is living off 2017 still, he has barely fired a shot since then.

As a forward, he's been poor (Not as poor as Trengove when he was a forward though). As a ruck that comes in for bursts he's been fine. But we are pushing our luck if we made him ruck full games.
