You would think we would have to be trading in a mid. Plus maybe an Alec Waterman as a late draftee and a mature age pickup. We planned to draft Kelly but Oscar was too good to pass on.
Yep, pretty happy with Oscar...we'll get a mid or two...we better??

My son went clubbing last night and said natanui was out clubbing until 4 am.
How's that go with his requirements? Is that allowed during the season?
Didn't think that was his scene...you'd imagine after the game it's ok

can confirm willie was there too

players are allowed to have a good time as long as its not within certain time fame before the next game, i think 6-7 days

There are limits within game time etc

This is allowed. We have to be careful and remember these are human beings and not robots.

I used to seem him out regularly around 2011-2014. Never looked like he was drinking and just kept to his own group in the corner. He's very high profile so I'm sure he keeps his drunken antics behind closed doors.

I don't really care what players get up to in their own time (including recreational drugs) as long as they front up ready for game day. It's no different to any other work.

Very true. OAllen was the Larke medallist and they are rarely duds.

Going back to the turn of the century, only Steven Armstrong, Jesse Smith, Cale Morton and Andrew Hooper didn't come near their potential. All the others have either gone way past 100 games, or haven't reached 100 because they are still early in their career. The only exception to that is Harley Bennell, and it's been injury rather than ability that's hurt him.

List of Larke medallists still playing includes Walsh, Schache, Petracca, Sheed, Whitfield, Coniglio, Swallow, Hawkins.

We can’t have a side with all
4 Rioli, NN, petch and Cameron

All 4 can’t run out a game yet - puts too much pressure on the others

Reckon Cameron makes way - at least until Rioli gets back to standard

You can get away with it, it just carries some risk if one or two of the midfield rotation get injured early.

Ryan has dramatically increased his windtank this year so there is a bit of insurance there.

Where does this leave Venables ??

Who has his critics but the MC have gone out on a limb to support his role in the 22 ...

On iPhone using BigFooty.com mobile app

If he plays again this year it will probably be in the WAFL. Wouldn't surprise me if they just parked him for the rest of the season, let him recover and work exclusively on his tank. He's young, a premiership player and in the 20th to 25th player bracket at the moment. A long term view to 2020 and beyond is probably the right move.
