Think a Selwood/Sinclair package would interest Melbourne.
They have shown a willingness to trade high draft choices for players.
Both players meet their needs.
What would you think would be the return from offering Sinclair and/or Selwood to Melbourne?

Such a tease showing a fit looking Waters training.[/QUOTE]

by the time he's fit i'm not sure waters will still have a spot in our best 22.

Masten, can't win a contested ball, can't tackle, panics under pressure, can't mark and doesn't run hard enough to rack up uncontested possessions

So you dont watch our games then?

Masten has accumulated 169 uncontested possessions from his 236 possessions for the year..... Or 71.6% if you will.
He also runs a 6:00 minute 2km time trial.

Interpret that as you will.

He's very good in pre season, and can kick some great kicks to our forwards every now and then, but gets pushed off the ball way too often/easily and doesn't really impact games as much as you would hope from a number 3 draft pick. He's been better the last year or two but is still very underwhelming for me, especially when coupled to all the hype we get in pre season about him rebuilding villages after tearing them down by training. He's not the worst but he's definitely not performing well at the moment. Mind you, none of our so called potential star mids are, and seem to be coasting along knowing they'll get a game each week no matter what they do. Club needs a shake up and I hope Simpson does something soon.

Most of our midfielders do need a shakeup but unfortunately due to our lack of midfield depth there is no one putting pressure on them for their position.

I'd say we employ Waters in the Nicoski role if/when he comes back.

Our fwd pressure has been a bit off recently and he will add so much of that and could add a goal threat as well.

I don't think he has a place down back unless injury strikes.

Hurn, Bennell and Emac are doing really we filling the holes and getting the mark from opposition kicks, which is where Waters shined.

The lace out kicks Masten has been giving our fwds means he won't be dropped, don't agree on all those negatives about him posted in this thread, but considering our kicking into fwd 50 is severely lacking and it's his greatest strength, I think dropping him is a huge mistake.

When we last played St Kilda we went in too tall.

We had an injury early and had to bring on a tall as sub which left our side completely unbalanced and we were lucky to get over the line.

Simpson is stuck between a rock and a hard place - because you want to pick blokes in form - however they are all talls at the moment which simply doesn't work.

Surely the spot where we drafted him is no longer relevant? Otherwise we'd all be saying "wow, isn't Priddis such a fantastic player considering he was picked in the rookie draft!"
