Yeh i'm sure that's what Simmo says to him before the game, no need to put any defensive pressure on Crippsy, you just go hard when you have the ball, otherwise take it easy out there. Give me a break his total output in the last two weeks is 8 possession's and 4 tackles is ordinary to say the least, no way he should get a game next week.

yeah and in the 5 games before that he averaged 12 possessions, 2 goals and almost 5 tackles a game.
on the whole his form has been pretty good up until the past 2 weeks.

Overall he has been serviceable but not one of our strengths I'm afraid.
We or he need to improve in this position.

no orphan in that respect.

personally i think he's performed above expectation, particularly in hitting the scoreboard as a 'crumbing forward' (which he isn't) and particularly given our issues in scoring goals this season.

Out: Yeo (inj), Butler (inj), Schofield (unlucky)
In: Shuey, Colledge, Cox

Cripps was very poor but has been good overall this season so deserves another chance
Can't see the club leaving Cox out if fit due to sentiment :(, even though the form of Lycett/McGovern and long-term view warrants their inclusion too, so I have a bad feeling that we're going to revert to the awful tactic of playing 3 ruckmen, but this time for Cox's sake not NN's!

They're the only changes that should happen.
Yep, unfortunately, should is the key word. Unfortunately, I can't see us leaving out Cox if he's fit. I also can't see him doing a Glass and retiring mid season with no farewell game (plus, in fairness, his body is probably holding up better than Glass's, even if his form isn't necessarily).

I will be hugely disappointed if Cox comes back in; I don't think he's been playing well enough to warrant a spot (unless we create one for him, which would be madness). Would send the wrong message to the playing group.

Saints getting pumped at the minute. Though I think they'll come out and play hard next week given they'll actually have a sniff.

How stupid is this..

The club will most likely drop the player who has been starved of opportunities for a while now, despite putting up good form in the WAFL, is out of contract at the end of the year, and came in and performed to a very acceptable standard for us in a crunch game...

For the player who has played sub standard all year, cripples the team when he dives for free kicks constantly in the ruck and during marking contests, hasn't had any sort of impact in the ruck, but wants to keep playing so he can get to 300 games.

Say it isn't so Simmo.

Can we at least stick to whinging about things the club has actually done, rather than what people think they will likely do. It would make reading these threads a bit less tiresome.

On Thursday if he is dropped, go nuts, but until then...

Butler > Shuey and Cripps > Tunbridge (4 goals in the WAFL, like-for-like-ish).

Cripps has his moments but doesn't offer enough for 4 quarters, and isn't damaging enough for a sub role. Colledge could be an in but honestly I don't think he's been great at AFL level this year.

I don't think Cripps deserves to be dropped yet (different story if his next few games are like this one ), but that aside, who should replace Yeo according to you? (inj)

There's probably worse choices for sub.

None of them are on our playing list though.
There's probably posts less serious than mine.

None of them are on this board though. ;)

Seem the obvious ones.
Do you guys review the WAFL prior to listing your changes? It just makes you look a bit silly when you recommend these changes.

Sheed isn't the obvious one. The obvious one would be Colledge, with Tunbridge a very close 2nd. The last couple of games Maginness has been playing well above Sheed in the midfield also.

Here's a link to the latest stats from East Perth's game yesterday: http://www.wafl.com.au/games/view/9764

He also kicked a goal, but that's not important for a forward.

As i said another stellar game. 1 goal and 5 possies is not AFL standard, i guess it was an improvement on his 3 possie game from the week before though. The club was dropping Wellingham for sub standard performances earlier in the seasons, yet we think Cripps should keep his spot after two weeks of very ordinary footballer, should be the 1st dropped this week.

Cripps needs to stay in. Had a quiet few weeks but he's having a good season. He has speed, a bit of x-factor and an eye for goal. Reckon he'll develop into a very handy player.
