I think Sheed is trying to be more of a tough insider so gets the ball in close more often and that gives him less time for disposal. For some reason he also seems to be trying to get to his favoured left foot all that time...he's a pretty decent kick on his right so don't understand that.Sheed always does that. Takes a while after injury to get back to his best. Don't know why but it seems to be his MO
Rest Yeo, masten,I think we can afford to carry Sheed at the moment and get him back to form. He is playing heavily inside and it's just some of his disposal that's frustrating because he can be quite good. I think it's a decision making thing. He has had a number of out on the fulls and sometimes feels like he has to get the ball out (that horrible HTB against him with no prior would attribute to this) whereas Cole and Duggan sort of know how to get a ball up, Sheed feels pressured to dispose and it often ends badly.
Given what happened to Shuey with hamstring tightness in the lead up to doing his hammy, I can see Masten being rested and getting 2 weeks off which is fine. Shuey can be a straight replacement for him or Yeo if that's who Simmo is suggesting is sore.
I'd like to see Ah Chee on a wing if he has the motor for it, his marking would be very handy. Otherwise Ainsworth/Partington who supposedly have good fitness can play the role.
It's a hard week to predict, just because Simmo has said there's sore people but nobody really knows who he means.
I have a baseless feeling that we'll rest NN next week.
Out: NN (rest), Hutch (omitted), Ah Chee (omitted)
In: Fraser (yes, I said it, wanna fight me?), Shuey, Petch
If any of the forwards are remotely battered, Brander will get a go too.
Venebles is te number 1 ticket holder for that spot.I definitely don't trust Parto to come in and play Masten's role tbh.
Parto needs midfield minutes but his best chance to play a game is to take Ah Chee's half forward to role
Nic had back soreness against the hawks -see how he goes. His second half was brilliant in the circumstances.Nic only just had a week off for his suspension. I don’t think he would be needing another a week ahead of the bye.
He is still building his tank - played like 60% of the game against the Hawks.
Tag?
They can't even football at the minute
