I can just see on draft day our pick coming up and one of those more hyped up names being still on the table, and Hine just pulling out some we didn't really consider at that pick. Maybe not with the first one but i reckon one of ours will seem like a reach. Still remember the board meltdown when we took thomas and pendles with our top 5 picks.

I'm just hoping Rendell didn't give away to much IP before he departed the Crows. And the gods doth split the hemispheres, right down the middle.

In Hine we trust. in 2005 there were still nay-sayers and nonbelievers. They have perished.

I know one of the three we'll be taking if available but that will most likely be #21 as they are expected to be there then, working on the other two.

C'mon P4L! You can't drop a statement like that and then give us nothing. I know you prob want to protect the source but I'll ask you; Is this selection someone who has been discussed in this thread already? Are we going to be happy or is it a Hine left field special?

If your mail is correct I would prefer you keep it to yourself. As Eddie says - "Club first"

Don't worry I'm not going to mention a name. This is my mail:

Pies have interviewed Person x, gone over to his house a few times, met with the family and they're keen on it. One of the Pies picks in the first round will be used of him if someone doesn't go before them.

There was another clue in there, but it would give him away instantly. He's an inside midfielder.

As I said, only one name has been quoted in what I said, and anything can change for example if three top ten picks slip then it all changes. It's based on assuming the draft goes roughly as expected.

Yeah, anything can happen on the day. He would be a slight surprise but if its the type of player we are after he and Lonergan are pretty good fits. I think the only reason he goes as far as our picks is his height issues.

I would have preferred a more cryptic clue though like "He is missing a vowel".

Yeah after all they could be talking to a number of them, this is just one that was reported.

Gonna be an exciting draft either way :p

Fremantle have just said they WILL take stringer at pick 17 if he even falls that far. Guess we can give up hope of getting stringer (if there ever was hope)

Im fairly positive that they will take Mason Shaw with their first pick if he is still available.
If they don't I wouldn't mind the Pies taking him.
The kid can play.

This is where things can get interesting. Would they pick Shaw or Stringer at 17. Stringer is the better player IMO, but Shaw is a better fit for them as they need a nice big forward who can take a grab.
