Review Dees v Lions: Good, Bad and Fugly

I know what you're saying and I felt that was straight after the game. This happened to the Lions last week and port today who both looked like millionaires last night and last week respectively.

I think this is the loss we needed to have and want to see how the team and coaches respond in the coming weeks, especially if Gawn is out for at minimum 5-6 weeks. 10-0 last year was more of a false economy than US housing market in 2007. We now have the rest of the season to work on the issues.
I hope it's the loss we needed cause I haven't seen a team that's changed anything to enough of a level of to contend. We need a circuit breaker though, when Geelong won the flag in 07 they dropped Stevie J and set their culture. Saints dropped Montagna and Milne I think in 08 or 09 and set their standard. We're gonna have to actually change something because it looks like we've stagnated.

Our midfielders can't set up defensively to save themselves.

Trac and Oliver always position and run aggressively as though they expect every tap and knock to go our way. It either looks a million bucks or their opponents get into a paddock of space and destroy us.

Then there's Viney who just straight-lines it regardless of the situation, usually resulting in him tumbling into multiple players and turning it over.

Yeah this was noticeable against the Dogs in the second quarter, the reason the game turned was Trac started winning it but when they got a clearance their looks at inside 50s were way too easy.
