Yes it is weird. Remember people barracking for a loss in the tanking era? Winning far better for the team. Especially the young blokes.

I kind of was hoping we'd lose too.

The super late subbing of brown just enraged me, and I'm sick of the arrogance and completely that seems to be apparent from top down.

I know, it was a little tongue in cheek. I have family who are die hard norfers and I've felt for them the last half-decade or more.

Fwiw, I hate debuting players on the bench but browns chase and tackle in the last was great

Why? So we can delay the inevitable with Goodwin and coast in mid-table mediocrity?

Three point win against Fitzroy means nothing.
I’m not barracking for losses. Been through the bullshit tanking era and a win not matter how bad it is does more for a group. We were shocking tonight. And I’ve been saying for a while Goodwin should be moved on. He did himself no favours tonight.

Don’t feel bad. We sat there watching Melbourne lose week in week out for years. We’ve been there. Yes Brown being sub was shite.

We all went through that era, you're not on your own there.

But to think we're going anywhere with Goodwin is guzzling the kool-aid to the extreme. The sooner the end comes, the sooner we move forward as a football club. One step back to take a million steps forward.

In all seriousness, not sure why I subjected myself to that and wasted a nice, sunny Prague afternoon. Was hoping to see something a bit different tonight, but nup. Absolutely cooked.

Good:

  • Rivers might be my favourite player now. Still flits in and out of games, but he's one of the few guys we have to play with a bit of dash and dare.
  • Brown's tackle.
  • Viney's first three quarters were probably the best he's performed for about two months.
  • Petty had 11 disposals, 6 marks and a goal, which by my reckoning makes it the second best game he's played all year. Onya mate.

Bad:

  • Overreliance on players like Gawn, May and Viney. Whenever they're below their best we're just ****ed.
  • Completely unadventurous football all night, especially in the last quarter. I was thinking the bye might be a good chance to reset some things, but tonight was just more of the same except even worse somehow.
  • I know Fritsch is a mercurial player, who's always going to have long periods where he doesn't impact the game, and that he wasn't helped by the delivery tonight, but Jesus he needs to show more effort when he's having a down night. Was absolutely monstered all game by a 19-yo.

Ugly:

  • Oliver just taking the piss now. Drop him, and give his midfield minutes to someone else in preparation for next year.
  • Not giving Brown a run on debut until there were 10 mins to go in the last. Poor kid.
  • Forward line still a shambles, midfield getting beaten week after week, even the backline looking shaky since Lever went out. Game plan is trash, not many guys coming through in the seconds to give a run over the players who were out there tonight. Still nine weeks of this shit to go. :rainbow:

Windsor looking more and more like Jayden Hunt as the weeks go by. Those 2 goals he gave up were unforgivable.

The most disappointing thing for myself and Bluelegs was not keeping them to under 60 points so no:

But on the flip side we went scoreless for about the last 40 minutes so:

Young player makes mistakes. More news at 10!

How about making a positive post for once?

Thought you didn’t care about my opinion, so first thing you do is comment on my opinion. Nice.

There’s nothing positive about beating North like that.

You are correct, I slipped.

Nothing positive about Rivers game? Or Gawn still on AA form? Or Viney finding form? Or Kolt back in and performing well?

Nothing?

But who thinks we are going anywhere under Goodwin now? Who exactly is drinking the Kookaid? Do you think internally the club are happy with wins like this? I’m taking about the young blokes getting a win and singing the song. Bugger off with losing.

Kinda took me back to that midseason Saturday night game against the dogs in 2013 where they almost run us down. Just had that vibe
