He's easily their best mid and must be shut out of the game. Not at all worried about Dawes, Hooker will handle him. It's their midfield that always looks good against us.
It was a joke, I was alluding to the fact that Melbourne's recent B&F winners (Davey, Green, Moloney the last three, I think) have followed up with disastrous seasons. Obviously Jones is their best mid (but then so was Moloney heading into last year... haha).

Oh, got ya. Jones is a different kettle to those guys and will have another good year. A few of their boys are still underdone, so hopefully it's now us getting them at a good time.

They may not play this week, but it would be surprising if both were unavailiable for Round 2.
Even if they are, Pederson, Sellar and Garland will still occupy Fletcher, Hooker and Carlisle

Technically Telstra Dome was its "new" name (Colonial Stadium, Telstra Dome, Etihad Stadium). I just call it Docklands, easier :)
But the dome is just... It just works

Would really love to come out and get this done by 10 goals +

The past two years has been terrible, we have to be ruthless and tear these lesser teams apart to gain confidence and respect.

Very excited.

i'm not worried about this game at all.

their team is a shambles. underdone players. C grade recruits. should be a comfortable win, move on.

if we lost, you'd really have to question our mental application, as on paper, we are a 10 goal better side.

Having only played 1 game in almost a month is a slight concern. It could interupt our rythym. Having not beaten them for 2 seasons is what plays on my mind. Even with a much better side than Melbourne we still have been beaten. I hope the players dont believe they just have to show up.

How is this a different scenario to any of the other times we've gone down to them? Every single time we've been the better team on paper.

I mean, I hope you're right but I won't stop worrying until we've got the 4 points in the bag.

We've always been at the start of a dramatic physical slide. If we played Melbourne at round 6 or 7 last year like we did with the Lions they would have been brutalised.

Now we just have to hope that we're not at the start of ANOTHER slide, haha.

If it's a Melb home game, does that mean we have to wear the grey shitsuit?

If it was a Melbourne home game, yes we'd be wearing the grey.

Alas, it's an Essendon home game, so Melbourne will be wearing the crappy white jumper.
