Your arrogance and that of your supporters won't get you another flag this year. You pinched one last year against an average pies team who have a history of choking in GF's. If by some miracle you beat us, you will get flogged by Richmond next week. Enjoy.

Pot. Kettle. You know... :)

Apart from the distractions around #williegate the fact one of our best small forwards is not there and is being replaced by a player with the composure of Scooby Doo does not instil confidence, let alone arrogance. Let's hope the boys really crack in.

If they beat us, which I don't think they will, I just can't see a way they'll beat you guys to be honest. I can't see a way that we can either. But footy is a funny game
There are always upsets in sport. It's what makes it interesting. Teams are deserved or undeserved favorites at times, but that still probably only means they are a 60 or 70% favorite.

Geelong being $1.80 favourites and West Coast $2.05 outsiders would suggest otherwise.
Due to the Rioli factor and people believing WC will come out flat now...doubtful given the fact the team is actually stronger than 12 months ago even without Rioli

Maybe. But maybe Geelong being on top of the ladder all season might also be a factor...you don't finish on top if you're a crap side. Patchy form, yes. Capable on our day of beating any team, yes. Too much disrespect aimed at Geelong, they'll prove a point tonight.

Good luck.

West Coast are the most overrated team still in it. This is the same team that capitulated to an average Hawks side by 7-goals in Perth with a top 4 spot on the line.

People believing the Eagles will knock of all of Geelong, Richmond and Collingwood in Melbourne to win the flag are delusional.

If it rains, it'll get nasty for West Coast tonight. If not, Geelong by 24 points

Didn't Geelong capitulate to an average hawks side?

This could be a nil all draw if we are using that forma line

You’ve rocketed into favouritism with the bookies on the back of the Rioli news.

Eagles with their backs up against the wall here, going to take a hell of a performance under the circumstances.

I just don't understand why this would make a massive difference to how the team performs? I don't think Simpson and Co will be using this as an excuse if they lose..

Money has come in for the cats, so people with a financial interest think it will make a big difference.

It has, but before the Rioli news broke yesterday, both teams were equal favourites at $1.80. Then there is the whole Tim Kelly having the flu and SEN are running with Dangerfield being out with sore ribs.

Eagles are now $2 and the cats $1.80 despite the kelly and danger rumours.

The Kelly one is legit, Scott confirmed he has been crook. Danger is probably sore but likely to play FF with occasional midfield time if that's the case. No doubt WC have sore players too, every club manages them as best they can at this time of year..

I dunno
I guess I kinda think the eagles are better but also less trustworthy. In short I have no idea who will win. I think the eagles have a plan that can be the antidote to ours so I think I prefer Geelong to win (add: cats can beat us too no question) but really I just want it to be a brutal game that hopefully goes all the way to extra time.

Yeah the Eagles are massive underdogs now and it's going to hammer down tonight, the Eagles are no chance

Neither team have been overly reliable this year, have dropped some really winnable games and choked. Feel we're generally more solid and competitive in finals though.

its a final. If it takes being smashed in the media to get up for it there's some serious problems
Absolutely agree, but we have been limp in so many finals that they’ve been over at quarter time in recent years. Might take till midway in the third for this one.
