Review Good/Bad v Dead Rubber, Round 23

Overused the ball horrendously, which is why the disposal numbers for the midfield were so inflated in a loss. I think the only player who really gave true value for his disposal count today was Seedsman, and maybe Smith.

Really need Greenwood back in, it's becoming clear that his inside work is the anchor for our clearance creativity.

LOL LOL LOL

Seedsman - 4 Contested Possessions - 22 Uncontested Possessions......
Smith - 3 Contested Possessions - 20 Uncontested Possessions.

Matt crouch was the only stand out but you'll never admit that

You just seem to be completely incapable of understanding the concept of context.

Full value for their possessions means that the results they obtained matched the amount of ball they had.

In contrast, players including Matt Crouch, Brad Crouch, Rory Atkins, Wayne Milera, Richard Douglas, Rory Laird, and even Rory Sloane obtained results beneath that which would be expected for the number of times they had the ball.

Stop being incredibly simple.

Whilst I don't care too much about losing it would have been better had we played better. Lots of players had no impact and it's not like we rested a heap of players.
Yeah true but a lot of it was because we were avoiding contests tackles diving marks and generally playing bruise free. They basically rested themselves. I'm ok with it. If we show any of that next game it'll be a disgrace though

Bad- our forward line without Tex.

This board has consistently underestimated his performances this year, and this game demonstrates the reason why. If he's not scoring, or setting up, a bulk of our goals from his play we struggle.

JJ still only got Barass as an opponent and was like a fish on land flapping pointlessly as the hit up forward

Tex does the heavy lifting so the forward line can function

Some mighty generous ratings there

Tex runs that forward line. Not only does he kick goals, he directs and creates play and sets up his team mates. He is a point forward in basketball terms. So critical to our set up and system.

This game was always a danger where:
1. We go real hard, win and maybe get an injury or two => Bigfooty Crows will go in meltdown.
2. We attack, but keep in reserve and preservation mode to circumvent injury, which means we'd likely lose => Bigfooty Crows will go in meltdown.

I honestly hope we all can chill and accept a dead rubber as nothing more than a dress rehearsal for who's to play in the QF.
Good: no injuries!
Bad: not sure if any outside mids have locked in their position, most of them were pretty sporadic and had their individual moments, but no standouts.
Oh, and the umpiring was shit! Did anyone had that inkling feeling in the first quarter that "here we go with the Umps again.."?

Jake Kelly 4 and the comment?

What about Cameron?
Has immense potential talent, with the emphasis on potential. Something's amiss with CC, not enough cheese on the chip lately.
Gotta be dropped vs GWS, surely? :(

Very poor game. West coast really brought the heat but our disposal was awful. Terrible decision making. Not what you wanted going into finals. I expected to lose that but i wasn't expecting so many poor individual performances.

Matt crouch bog.
Sloane okay without being too influential
Brad crouch was okay but not very effective. Some rubbish kicks.

That was petty much it.

Defence was putrid. Keath had his worst game. So many loose numbers running around.

Forwards couldn't get near it. J Gov smashed us again. Jenkins horrible.

Betts struggling still. That's a worry.

Milera good early but was invisible after that. Needs to have more confidence in himself. Use your foot mate.

Everyone else poor.

Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha...don't be so far ken silly Golumless:D

Good - No apparent injury
Bad -The umpiring was shit; but hey, so was last week;)
Ugly - Some passengers who didn't cement their spots. Atkins and Knight.

Both Atkins and Knight have cemented their spots. Its Seedsman v Mackay and I reckon Seedsman just won.

Not so sure. I think Atkins hasnt done himself any favours recently. Wouldnt be surprised that rat goes out possibly for seedsman.
