Gutted. Haven't felt like that after a loss for a while.

There is so much to like but also so much frustrating s**t.

Do something about the midfield FFS. Even Laird is starting to look past the peak of his powers.

I called before the game that having Sloane in would negatively impact Crouch as he's too slow to get into position to receive, too slow to break away.

Having another Slow poke around the ball with Crouch and Laird is just horrible coaching.

Some hard markers on this board, the lad's gave their all and came up one kick short against a genuine Premiership contender on their home deck with a very inexperienced backline against one of the most dangerous if not the most dangerous in the AFL. One ball bounced the other way and we win the game.
Agree to an extent, but still frustrating that we’ve seen this scenario four times this season against top four teams, and couldn’t capitalise on any of them, especially when we’ve had multiple opportunities

Ok. It just seemed like you were unhappy with effort and play around the ground too.
No. I'm unhappy we couldn't get it done, that we weren't good enough. Again. In a similar situation to those other times.

Our effort was certainly there

The coaching staff doesn't demand better. They celebrate these losses. They deserve them.

It also seems we rely on too few with little change to fix it or to analyse it

Sloane must have his farewell next week if we're fair dinkum though, Hately or even Tyler Brown, yes Tyler Brown are more worthy of a one year contract.

People said that last year when we lost some close ones
Yep, people also said we would have chances again to win/will win a flag with that 2017 era team.
This game gives out guarantees - never.

We're showing some signs but that doesn't just mean it all continues. Freo this year just one example but you can go on forever with them.

Really? Im the complete opposite. Couldnt get into what I considered a completely passionless, batshit boring game(from both sides).
100% expected the exact outcome and had zero expwctation that we get a win at any stage of the game.

IDK, I hate that it comes down to this game, but I kinda clocked off the gut-train a few weeks ago.

Go Matildas!!!

Missed too many gimme goals
Dropped too many sitter marks
Made too many errors right in front of their goal that were capitalised on immediately

Cut out 2 errors, or just kick 2 very gettable goals that we missed, and we probably get over the line. Frustrating. Again.

On one hand - What a gut punch. Season effectively over (Probably will be this time tomorrow)

On the other hand - The improvement this year has been ridiculous. 3-4 vs the top 4 and the 4 losses have been a combined 13 points? (3 of which were on the road)

If we take another step forward next year. Wow. Watch out (watch us do a Fremantle and be bottom 4)

Sorry I did say we shouldn't accept "that effort" which I meant as our overall performance not specifically our on field effort to get the ball etc
