You remind me of a Carlton supporter circa 2002-2006.

We know your track record record over the past 4 seasons.

It’s great to watch.
Again with the “we were shit, so you will be too”. It’s one of the laziest arguments I’ve seen.

Mitchell selling more golddust than Willy Wonka of late - the core of their next Premiership side are already at the club?! Pure imagination!

The other Mitchell, Lewis, has been brave but I don't think he quite has it - and I do rate him.

Meek's prospects look dicey if nominative determinism is a thing; he will get opportunities though and hey, if Rhys Stanley can be a premiership ruckman anyone can do it. Seems a long journey though.

There's the outline of a good backline, sure.

It's all a bit Blue Sky at Glenferrie of late, poor old Cooper Stephens won't know what's hit him if he's going to be playing serious AFL minutes next year. Hopefully he is resilient.
I bet that Round 4 loss was hard to swallow at the time, what with the Hawks playing without a ruckman and still getting the chocolates. Pure imagination!

The 2017 draft is still hurting for Blues supporters I see.

I can't blame you though. I'd still be suffering PTSD as well if I took Dow and O'Brien inside the top 10 of the 2017 draft while big, bad Hawthorn took Worpel and Dylan Moore at 45 and 67.
Worpel is rubbish mate. Peaked as a teenager.

We definitely butchered that draft, but our midfield is now electric and we’ve got the best player in the league running around jagging Brownlows.

Meanwhile Matt Kennedy would comfortably be Hawthorn’s best midfielder.

It’s a sad state of affairs for Hawk supporters right now.

Meanwhile Hawthorn already are s**t and are continuing to get worse - as has been predicted from a long way back.

Keep drinking the Kool Aid though.
Are they? Could’ve sworn we finished with more wins in 2022 than we had in 2021, and more wins in 2021 than we had in 2020. You’re not great at reading trends.

There’s shit and then there’s Carlton shit, where you collect a bevy of wooden spoons and Hawthorn haven’t been close to that for a very very long time.

The Hawks have been trending downwards since 2018.

Don’t let some meaningless minor skips distract you from how bad things are right now.

Even despite being rubbish for 20 years the Bluebaggers have more way flags than the lowly Hawks.

Carlton are the best club in league history.

The Hawks are trending downwards, despite actually trending up since 2020. Got it.

The only reason you have more flags is due to being in the comp when Australian roads were full of horse and cart.

I wouldn't trade Newcombe for Walsh if I'm honest. At least Duke is capable of riding a bump and getting back up again. Walsh is very similar to Marc Murphy. Great player with a skeleton made of glass. Questions will arise as his career evolves.

2020: 15th and 5 wins
2021: 14th and 7 wins
2022: 13th and 8 wins

I guess we're digging up?

Carlton have won 2 finals in the last 20 years and 5 wooden spoons

Marc Murphy was a pussy, Walsh is made of the right stuff and already accumulating Brownlow votes like no tomorrow.

Newcombe is fine, but more of Dom Sheed or Matt Crouch type and is pretty close to his ceiling already.

So we’re better now and historically better too.

What a club.

I’m more into longer trends rather than looking at a few years - 2 of which were COVID-affected.

It’s going to be a long few years for the Hawks.

Really?
Walsh is the superior player

The Hawthorn decline has been even better and more drawn out than any of us imagined.

Keep the good times rolling.
I understand how this must fill the void of enjoying success. Whatever works for you.
