Judd trade may fall over.

that is actually completely incorrect

the afl will not stop a deal going through, veal or otherwise.

we have to give pick 1 now, and that would be check mate

No, YOU are incorrect. What i have stated is in fact what the AFL has instated after the deal involving Lachlan Veale saw him being used as a pawn in a trade.

An AFL trade official went through it on radio on Monday. I guess its a bit subjective, but he basically said each side has to have a roughly balanced trade otherwise they won't sign off on it. No way would they approve pick #2 and #18 for a guy lke Morton who barely gets a game. lol. :)

Thats cheating the system and Judd would not go to a club like that.

richmond aren't doing this to get judd - they're doing it so blues give up pick 1. wc have no interest in kreuzer so tiges could pick him up with their second pick.

This is totally correct, Richmond are merely involved not that they think they can get Judd, but merely to put pressure on Carlton to give up pick 1 so that they can take Kreuzer with pick 2.

I would say that Richmond might be having a few little background talks with the weagles to try and scare Carlton into throwing pick 1 into the mix.

If they are doing this and are just doing it at the behest of the weagles so they can get pick 1, what penalties are there for doing this?

Otherwise, Richmond supporters are just having their pockets pissed in by Miller and KB. A prize couple of tools.

Problem is Richmond have Miller and Carlton have Swan, if it was the other way around or Michael Malouf was still in charge I would agree with you.

Miller spoke with Judd yesterday I'd like you all to know, said it himself on SEN this morning!

Do you realise you're setting yourself up for a mighty disappointment. Miller has totally stuffed up the Judd trade, and is trying to save his job, with a bit of PR. The fact is the Tiges weren't even in Judd top-4! You need to ask Miller why that is the case. A massive opportunity missed by the Tiges due the Millers staggering incompetence. :)

Yeh, like Judd wants to go to the Tigers and get spat on after games...

Judd's Treatment at Tigerland

Boooooooooooooooooo

"Win us a premiership Judd you reject!"
"Yeh you has-been, you're too slow. Someone trade him!"
"Let's spit on him!"

*spits*
*spits*

Judd at Carlton................

"What are you doing? Don't hit Fev lace out! Kick it on the full so we can get the #1 Pick again!!!"

richmond trade pick 2, 18 and a player for morton and a signed contract saying eagles will let Judd go to the PSD,

So u carlton supporters can get fuked i wuld rather that then u trying to rob us,
pink 1 and 3 or he goes to richmond

Like you have any say over it you little **** choker

In fact i might remember your ******* of a handle so that when he ends up at Carlton i'll send you a reminder to eat shit and die :)

I think the most likely scenario is that Richmond and WC have done a deal in around Morton. Effectively, Richmond could take Morton in the PSD. But they have said to WC "give us a favourable deal and we won't do that". WC have said "no problem, and you give us a fallback in the Judd deal - 2 and 18 for Morton to bluff the blues with".

So they can sit back and wait for the Blues all week. Just play chicken with them hoping the Blues buckle and give up 1. If the Blues do, then WC get Cotchin and the Tigers get Kreuzer. Then they execute the favourable deal.

If the Blues don't buckle, they just exercise the favourable trade for Morton, knowing that WC could have lost him for nothing, and Richmond can still pick up someone like Blake in the PSD.

Good cards to play by both clubs. Well done to them, if that's what they are doing.

No problem - all it says to me is that Miller is nervous a deal would be done sooner rather than later. I doubt the Tiges would have any bearing on the trade - pick 3 and Kennedy is superior to 2 and 18.

Tigers and Miller just like to think they could be involved in a deal of this calibre. Miller likes to show his club are a powerhouse and can be involved with the big boys. He should worry about his and that self promoter coach of his decision making. Rodan de listed, Ottens traded and Tambling think that one haunts them in their sleep. Tigers just need to get use to being a club we all like to laugh about once hind sight becomes a player in everything they are invovled in. Like the Tigers of old, they just have nothing in common. Suck an egg Miller, we will get Kruezer and Judd, your job will be on the line and Wallace sacked in 08. Blue Boys Forever

Hypothetical question for carlton fans. I'm just interested to hear your collective opinion. Lets put aside any arguments over PSD etc. As i said it's a hypothetical question.

Lets suppose it comes down to it on Friday afternoon that your club has a clear choice between coughing up picks 1 and 3 or not getting Judd. That is the position you are in. Would you be happy for the club to do it? Is Judd worth that? And what do you think Sann and co would do. I guarantee you they have already discussed this scenario and decided what they will do. Personally i think you would give up the picks.

What do you think?

Said on channel 10 in Perth, that there will be an announcement tomorrow (Carlton announcment) yet still no Judd deal done...kinda confused on that one?
Said nothing about Richmond?

well, he belongs to Carlton so it makes sense that we would make the announcement.

i hope you don't get Kennedy

IF the Blues end up having to part with pick #1 (I am still amazed Swann saw fit in the papers to price the value of Judd to the CFC from the first photo op alone - clearly negotiation is not his forte of this dolt) OR we get Judd, then Miller will actually end up looking pretty smart..

After all, the #1 pick is totally off the table..... isn't it? It will look like some kind of backdown if it ends up being handed over. Or,

I think we'll give Juddy the #2. 9 is free too. Ahh the agony of choice...

Brown underpants time at MC Labour Park..... Judd's mgr has said Judd would be prepared to play at Richmond (would not prefer it, but hardly going to throw his toys and sit on the sidelines now is he...)

Loving this :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

Go Tiges!

We can put the same argument to you, if Judd remains adamant he is only wishes to go to Carlton, that puts the Eagles in a position were they either take the Carlton offer or he goes into the PSD, at least from Carlton's viewpoint we keep pick 1 & 3, from West Coast viewpoint you will get nothing for the deal, l would not expect it to come to this.

You can forget about getting picks 1 & 3 this will not happen.

Of course they would.... Blues fans have a hint that someone decent might come to their club. They wouldn't cop him lining up in the yellow and black...

The Blues will fold. They seem to be pretty good at that judging from the last dozen or so games this year

Superb!!!!

Makes me laugh - Carlton supporter complaining about cheating the system.

Hmmmm

Ever heard of salary cap abuse???

Or even more recent possible tanking of season for that Number 1 pick ....

hmmmm

Why would you expect the AFL to veto a trade?

Has it happened before?

I wouldn't be banking on them intervening in a way that is totally unprecedented.

And if Richmond nominate Judd in the PSD, he either plays for them in 2008 or he plays for no-one.

I still expect Judd to go to Carlton, but this latest development might improve your offer.

Richmond will not give up picks 2 and 18 unless they are certain of getting Judd. Him going into the PSD leaves the possibility open that he could place a price on his head that Richmond can't match.

A Veale Deal won't happen. It just isn't logical. If Judd is willing to go to the Tiges - which he evidently isn't - it'd be a straight swap. Otherwise, Judd will place a price on his head in the hope that he'll get through to Carlton and as I said above, pick 2 and 18 is just too much to trade with a possibility he mightn't even end up at Richmond if he does enter the PSD.
