I'd be looking at Williams or McKenzie, I believe they are both stronger defensively. My preference would be McKenzie between the two.
We have gone from too small in defence to too tall.
Aliir, Rat and BZT are all 195+, which doesn't help when the ball hits the deck.
If the trend continues that we get smashed by smaller forwards and when the ball hits the deck, we probably need to re-assess whether we play all three, or one misses out. Particularly against teams where there is no real match up.
I understand the preference is Aliir to not play directly on a tall and have him play a bit loose and this may play into it as well.
I like Williams but he see too slow and had a good year last year but has regressed.
McKenzie is too old and slow.
I prefer the potential of Lachie Jones and Josh Sinn.

I don't know about McKenzie being slow, he was our fastest player a few seasons ago. I doubt he's totally lost that speed. Probably not the fastest anymore, but still fast enough.

He has some good skills, height and dash. I think they might see him as a Whitfield type.
Still only 18 so an investment in the future. Hope people are forgiving of any mistakes.

I thought he looked very promising in the last Magpies game.
Not sure he is ready yet though.

All I can say is that I hope Logan is accountable to his direct opponent and runs off when he can and not the other way round.

Good on him ... I have seen some good stuff from him in some previous games. Frankly I didnt care who it was, we just needed to get some new fresh blood into the team! McEntee, FEvans, Narkle, Williams ... Rinse & repeat fringe players! It's a friggin joke!
